I've been busy converting the Rhino for my dudes!
Lacked some ideas at first, but am pretty satisfied now! Will be hard to create new conepts for another 2 of those u.u

During the converting I've found the new Liquid Green Stuff very useful. While most other hobby-oriented products of GW are mostly useless and imo just another way of trying to make money, this is actually useful!

Anyways, I intend on painting him tonight or tomorrow, anything to change?

Looking really good on the rhino. In my opinion the spikes don't work on the Vindicator's dozer blade you've don an excellent job with the flesh and eyes so I feel that wold look far better and make the tank more of a single beasty. Crrently it looks like the Dozer is part of something else. The painting is very good as well.

Awsome and scary stuff here. Great work with the Rhino and Vindicator. I want to see more of that nasty looking dude with the burnin' eye in his hand and the melted petal base. What is he? Where are the bits from? I'm looking at him and thinking he'd make for a good DE character.

@Llamahead: thanks mate! I think your right on the Vindi. Luckily I didn't glue the dozer on so I can still change that Will work on that after the Rhino is done.

@worldwarme: hehe *boo!* Actually he started out as the new fantasy chaos sorcerer. I attended in a competition here on dakka but never finished him >.> I plan on using him as a chaos sorcerer, but may use him for something different... postponed that one for now more important stuff to do right now. For the conversion I simply swapped heads with a deamonette (the original one was horned, but looked superdumb!) and I swapped the wand to a selfmade scythe, repositioned the arm and added the top of a needle (those with the spheres on top ). The rest is green stuff. The semi-wings are wire+GS.
You could also take a look at the fantasy DE sorceress, that was released not long ago. It's a pretty neat model imo though may not fit in with the new DE models...

btw, just primed my Rhino, hopefully I'll get some painting done!

I like the ideas and where this is going. Not gonna lie, I lol'd when I saw the toothpicks on the rhino. But only because I've done the same and actually liked it hahaha

Okay, I've done some painting! not a whole lot though.... whew tanks sure are a pain in the butt to paint! T.T Took me almost a week to get the basecolors in about the right places! There still are some mistakes, but I'm working on that.

While painting I was a bit unsure about the orange/black ratio. Dunno what to think about that... Also, what do you think about the tracks and spiky bits in the front? Okay or something to change...? And should I paint the mutated skin as if the spiky parts are grown into that or just sticking out of it?

Well I've had some progress

I bought a used squad of csms and a new one, stripped it and started to build! I also bought two more rhinos and build one. Additionaly I started with the blendings on the rhino and worked a bit more on some obliterators!

Anyways, this is all still very wip or pip!

And the squad. Anyone got any idea how I could model the hands/ tentacles for the guys holding their guns with the left hand? I don't wanna do tentacles all the way...






The other squad got a new icon bearer, because I wanted to have chaos glory afterall

Wow, it has been quite some time! Real life just kept steeling my precious time and after a while my little Chaosforce had been shelved... but no more! I finally started working on them again! And tbh I kinda had a motivational outbreak
Anyways onto the pictures

First some finished obliterators, the third one is still in the making. I decided to change the head concept quite a bit and I actually like it a lot tell me what you think

















Additionaly, I started some deamons - and gap filling is a pain in the for the record haha
Finished and painted one so far, the other 9 are being worked on...










What do you think? Will it also work with deamonettes with less hair...? Will it blend in well with the marines?

I've built lots of more stuff over the past few weeks, though diablo III took away alot of free time haha

Don't mind the markings, I just changed my mind inbetween, hopefully it'll look good once painted!



Initially I intended this dude to stand on top of the rhino, but with the gunner and spikes it looked waaay too crowded... now what to do with him...? He has kind of a coll backpack, I don't wanna have him lying around... maybe ac with pw...?

And now to interesting stuff I finally had an idea for a summoned greater daemon! Although it may be a bit of an unconventional one, but I still like it! - though still lots of modelling to do...! If anyone has any cool ideas on how to fill the large flat areas, I would more than appreciate it!









Also I had quite some fun while building this base for my defiler! Poor terminator haha I make pretty good use of the AoBR stuff, don't I? I think, just one more terminator and the dreadnaught are left...









Besides of that, I started assembling some raptors, am still filling gaps on my vindicator, painting stuff of the first squad and obliterators and consider buying a land raider, although I probably shouldn't...

Oh and by the way, Jokaero Orange looks nothing like Macharius Solar Orange! Should anyone know, how to mix macharius out of jokaero, I'd really appreciate it! I don't wanna use 2 different Oranges in my army....
And should you have ideas for how to paint powerweapons/fists for my army, please post!
