Spoiler:
So, I have been away for some time due to several adventures. Life and all that whatnot. I finally got some time to paint again and decided to return to this project. I purchased a Razorback model the other day and this is what came out. I still need to work on it some more and the photos really bring out a lot of mistakes I didn't notice before. I would really like to add som banners/streamers and such to give it a more midieval feel so I am gonna have to figure out how to do that. I guess i should also learn how to do some weathering.

[i]Vehicles, like all wargear used by the Chevaliers, are maintained by noble families and painted with that particular families heraldry. It is often a significant drain on a families resources but a vehicle almost certainly ensures that a member of the family will be recruited for the Chevaliers if one is not currently serving (or the one who is serving is slain). It is not unheard of for violent feuds to break out over the ownership or inheritance of vehicles. The most famous of these incidents was the Occitan War of Possession which was fought over two land raiders."

Anyways, here is my first (well, if you want to get technical I made a rhino about 15 years ago) space marine vehichle. This razorback is maintained by The Duc du Burgesse.

Spoiler:

These photos made it look really bright. I feel like the red is too much. It needs some shading or something and the highlights didn't show up real well.

Here's a little more progress. With school and such it takes me a bit to finish anything.

Here is a dred I am working on. There is some fluff I am writing for him and his great great grandson (through adoption. The chevaliers, on rare occasion have been known to adopt.)

Edwin glanced out from the hole he was hiding in. The Dark Eldar raiding party was savagely rounding up the civilians too slow to reach the keep of Olgeanc. Perhaps the xenos were unaware that this land was protected by a Space Marine of the Chevaliers de Fio, or, more likely, in their arrogance they believed they would be gone with their prizes before the bumbling Marines could respond. They were wrong.

A thunderhawk roared overhead as a single marine lept from an open hatch, his jetpack heralding the wrath of the emperor. Jocelin d'Olgeanc had long ago left the keep to serve the emperor, but his family was never forgotten and the honor of his name would be protected. The Dark Eldar were raiding several estates across the continent and the few Marines on hand were spread thin, but even a single Chevalier, especially one fighting on his own ancesteral turf, was a force to be reckoned with.

Though it was more than a hundred yards away Edwin could hear the crunch as Jocelin landed on a hapless Eldar who was preoccupied with the young girl he had just bound. In seconds Jocelin's chainsword had severed the heads of three more Kabalites, but the xenos were now aware of his presence. A horde of Wytches descended on the Marine screaming anc cackling as they pirouetted across the field. Edwin fired his lasgun wildly at the Eldar but his efforts went unnoticed, the Witches eyes fixed on their prey. Two fell to Jocelin's bolt pistol. Another reached the Marine, her blade skidding off his shoulder pad as the Chevalier seperated her torso from her legs. Edwin watched in awe; the thrashing, screaming and flailing unlike anything he had ever seen. Twice he saw the Marine fall and twice he rose again to slay the enemies of the emperor. Mere moments had passed and the the once bright blue and yellow armor of the Chevalier was now covered in xeno blood. Strong though it was, the Marine's armor was not undamaged and Edwin knew that Jocelin could not be unharmed. Still the Chevalier stood erect, surrounded by dead Eldar.

Without warning a terrible deafening shriek rang out. Edwin saw the Marine stumble back. Another shriek and and Jocelin was forced to his knees. Edwin could remain still no long. His fear was gone, replaced by awe. Without thinking the young gaurdsman sprang forward, his heart pounding. He felt as though he were in a dream, watching himself but having no control of his actions. Edwin had no idea what he would do when he reached the Marine, only that he must reach him. His adrenaline carried him the hundred or so yards in mere seconds, but he reached the small crater which now sheltered Jocelin only a momnet before a group of 5 Kabalite warriors. Like a possessed man Edwin fired his lasgun felling 3 of the xenos. He knew not why, but he felt the might of the emperor surge through his veins. A screaming eldar lept at the guardsman but Edwins blade found its mark. With inhuman strength he thrust his knife through the armor protecting the xenos gut and the eldar fell to his knees choking on his own blood.

Something powerful struck Edwin in the shoulder and torso. He saw the blood as a shuriken shredded his flesh, but he felt nothing save a hatred for the single Eldar that still threatened the Chevalier. The Sybarite crakced his agonizer and took a moment to look at the wounded human armed now with no more than his k-bar.

"Pitiful slave. You amuse me. I think I will spare you and keep you as a pet! First though I shall introduce this tall fellow the delights of pain."
"Never!" Edwin cried. He felt his strength waning as he stumbled to place himself between the eldar and the fallen Chevalier.
"Haha! You are indeed amusing human, but I am in no mood for games. Time is short, as is my temper. Now stand aside slave"
With blinding speed the Eldar's agonizer wrapped itself about Edwin's neck. Pain wracked his body as the elder cackled with delight. Summing his last ounce of strength Edwin managed to speak.
"You shall not touch m'lord"
The Eldar's expression changed from amusement to anger.
"You dare defy your master!?" The xeno howled madly.
"No, but you are not my master. I am a servant of the Olgeancs."
Fighting through pain that should have killed him Edwin fell upon the enraged Dark Eldar. With the fury of the Emperor he drove his knife into the Sybarite's skull. With this final act of defiance the guardsman collapsed in exaustion and pain, barely remaining concious. Clutching his blade Edwin knelt beside the wounded Chevalier. He would protect him or die.

***

It may have been minutes or hours. Edwin had been in a daze and time had lost its meaning. He suddenly became aware of the metalic voice speaking to him.
"Stand aside peasant!"
Towering over him was a Space Marine Apothacary. The Marines had come; the Eldar fled and Jocelin still lived if only barely. Summoning his last bit of strength, Jocelin d'Olgeanc spoke to the Apothacary.
"This warrior deserves your respect."
He placed his hand on Edwin's shoulder.
"The Emperor was with you this day... my son."
The words of adoption had been spoken, but Edwin'ds strength was all but spent. He fell as darkness embraced him."

Edwin survived. As the son a Chevalier he was swiftly given the finest medical attention. He married and Olgeanc lady and sired two sons. Now Edwins great grandson, Edwin d'Olgeanc IV, serves as a Chevalier, wearing his great great grandfathers' armor. He often fights alongside Jocelin who was entombed in a drednought after the wounds he recieved in the above story.

Prolly a lot of typos in there. I didn't proof read. Just killing some time I guess...

Wether you read the story or not, here some nearly finished WIPs of Edwin d'Olgeanc IV and Jocelin.
