No way, Id ask the tourny organizers to put that down in the record books and shove it off to GW. You know they would have to at least mention it somewhere. Id be proud to be the Ork player that lost a tourny because of that

They should add that to major tournies now that I think about it. Most epic failure award. That would not only be good fun, but promote good sportsmenship as well

It would really only be 'the most epic' if the attached shokk attack battery scattered onto it.

And that rematch would only be in a friendly game, of course. 20 'eadbangers in the first shooting phase would sorta ruin/set the mood for the rest of the game, no?

Feth no, not me! Dont get me wrong, I love winning like everyone else does, but losing because of some crazy mishap, makes me laugh. I am an Ork IRL, so I think that explains my sick sense of humor. I asked a friend of mine once if we could house rule to allow me to shoot into my own units during CC

Just played an Apoc match today. Chaos and Orks (me) against Spess Mahrinesssssss. Our side was actually winning, and would have won. Except, well, the game Ref (he would have played, too, but we ended up being balanced points wise without him) had made a fortified bunker in the middle of the table a 2 point objective, that did "something" when destroyed. Our side was actually winning, holding that objective and 3 others, but everyone, in the end of the game, decided to try and destroy it - friend and foe alike. I managed to get my undamaged, 4 DCCW Deffdredd to it. 4 Pens later and it exploded, taking most of the board with it. We lost because of that, but it was amazing.


And just to keep this thread from going too far afield, my Stompa actually played a big part in that. I was running a Dredd Mobb, the field was divided into two 4'x8' tables with an 8'x4' bridge across them. I had the Stompa as my Mega Dredd in the Mobb, giving all walkers within 12" a KFF, and running 6 Kanz and 2 Dredds besides the Stompa. I basically Kan Walled an entire Apocalypse army.

Along with my Big Mek with KFF riding behind in a Superheavy Transport (kustom, 2 SP, Fast, Open Topped, no weapons, capacity of 40) the entire center of our field had KFF protection, and they couldn't have gotten a shot into us if they'd tried.

Unfortunately, there was a Deathwing player with about 30 Terminators that all Deepstruck as a single squad, right into our backfield. Spent the rest of the game trying to dig them out- not helped along by all the Drop Pods coming in. But the Wall o' Stompa pretty much stopped any frontal assaults cold. Even after the Stompa got its CC arm cut off by, was it Mephiston? The insane one, with the Sword, and no Invuln.

I have been working on a project near and dear to me for about 3 months now, and am finally at the point where I am about to put the entire thing together. It WAS going to be an emperor battle titan, but with my recent switch to orks, it just got looted. Within a week, I will have the only(to my knowledge) Looted Emperor Battle Stompa.

I am going to have to do some minor converting to it, such as the feet now being stompas without heads(made from tupperware) and the cockpit is now an effigy of Mork, but for the most part it is going to run as a EBT. Some of the armament will be more orky(grot guided vortex missiles) too!

For regular stompas, I am going to be making a few of them and then store them in the feet to have pour out when I get somewhere cool. They will have lifta droppas, supa gatlin guns, and grot rockets mainly. Oh, what a day to be an ork!

BTW, The 'eadbangers result from earlier isn't cause I can't suffer a loss, but instead because I want to play a good, protracted apoc match!

You really, really ought to check out the Gargant Owna's Club. They have rules for Great Gargants there, converted from the old Epic rules, I believe. Balanced points values for Apoc games, too.

You just won at everything. Even if you lose the game, you still won because you used that. BTW, put kans and dreads in the stompas and then you have a portable dread/kan wall. EPIC!

FYI they stop being called Stompa at some point, they turn into Gargants after that, not sure where that point is but its there Nice work on looting such a massive beast, your certainly an Ork, hell I bet we have looted planets out there somewhere.

And is the Great Gargant ownas Club even updated anymore? The last time I checked there it hadnt been updated in years. Still a cool place to look at

I think other than the Spambots, it's sort of less-than-visited. I still stop by every so often, though, and I think if some more people started hanging out there, it could be a cool place again.
