Well personally I think they will be around in 10 years, theyll just probably price me out of the hobby lol.
There are some things they could do to fix prices (50$ for a fething box of 5 assault terminators come on) so I think if they reduced prices a little bit, or as someone above me said have sales they would do even better, for example I airsoft, so the guns I buy are 200$+, normally if I want a gun I will either just get the gun or if there is a sale going on I will completely overhaul and spend 500$ on the gun plus appropriate bling. I think if GW did this they would see one helluva spike in sales and profit. But that'd be logical and as we all know logic and GW tend to hate each other

Ive gotten 6 people into the game of 40k.

I personally believe that 40k/WHFB will be around in 10 years, but whether or not GW will be... that's the question. The sort of actions they've been doing over the last year or so have been seriously alienating their client base, and with all the price increases have all be priced out the new player. Before the price rise/wayland debacle/other BS I had 4 new players. 2 of which actually had the money to just pick up a new army and play. assuming they went to wayland or the like. 1 of which was way too impatient to wait, and has a disposable income that makes me _very_ envious. He would likely just buy from the store even with the doubled price becuase he just doesn't like waiting. but after the last few months he's kinda just gone 'feth it'. :facepalm he would have spent THOUSANDS over the next couple years. and he would have brought others in... So I voted for the second option. I'll likely still play, but whether or not I'm still buying things, or even using GW models is a completely different story.

Thats pretty much it in my area, before the horrendous price hikes I was really thinking of doing imperial guard, but the cost for the fluff list I want is just too much, so I opted instead for a massively cheaper list. And there were even a few in the wings, now its pretty much come down to three players. None of which have made a purchase in the last 6 months

Hm... I can see Warhammer 40k and Warhammer Fantasy begin around in 10 years.

Of course, in 2021, with a Tactical Squad costing around $60, and most games averaging at about 5000 pts (apocalypse being at around 10,000), the hobby will have moved to an extreme-elitist format, where rich men trades of playing the game in between eating caviar and buying stock.
