Subject: Horror Films with actual well written story?

And pretty much any scene with Zelda Rubinstien, simply because her voice makes me laugh.
ooo that clown. i thought it was gonna attack, then a tree crashed threw the window instead only reason that was scary to. of course then later it goes crazey on them and the closet tries to eat them
Here, you might be interested in some of the "spooky" backstory behind the movie..
I am both selfish and chaotic. I value self-gratification and control; I want to have things my way, preferably now. At best, I'm entertaining and surprising; at worst, I'm hedonistic and violent.

Just joking. It's possibly the worse horror, or even mainstream, movie ever made.
To be honest, two horror films which, in my opinion, have top notch stories includes the 1978 version, George A. Romero classic, Dawn of the Dead, and It, primarily on the basis that it has caused myself to have a somewhat acute fear of clowns and heavy make-up; a fear which has stuck with me throughout a decade.

The original Dawn of the Dead is one of my all time favorite films, though I don't find it "scary" in a traditional sense.
IT ( the book) was pretty creepy in parts, and I did like Tim Curry's Take on Pennywise ( though I didn't really like the movie that much).
...And, the funny thing about Human Centipede is that it's really not very scary at all...until you start thinking about actually being in that sort of situation.

Requiem for a Dream, while not horror, it certainly has some very suspenseful and downright creepy moments. I'm thinking of the scene with Mom and the fridge.
We were once so close to heaven, St. Peter came out and gave us medals; declaring us "The nicest of the damned".
