And here we go.

Re-based. Managed to knock off his staff, turns out the heat also screwed up the superglue....but left the Finecast untouched.

Don't believe me? Go and try it. Set temprature is 266F, or 130C.

Kind of. I like to shut gobshites up. Fact for the moment, in lieu of other repeating my slightly ropey experiment? Finecast is less susceptible to heat that even GW plastic bases. Biggedy biggedy bong, bs rumour wiped, and egg on the faces of the serial whingers. Yet again.

...Doesn't the meaning just appear when your mouse indicator scrolls over it?

It case it doesn't, 'QFT' means Quoted For Truth, a fancy-lad way of saying 'I agree'.

Also, a problem - wasn't one of the solutions to any warping that may have occurred to Finecost miniatures to simply place the warped piece in hot water for a bit? Or was that only for Forgeworld pieces?

LOL!

Aside from the fact that THREE figures out of THREE were crap? I don't need science to tell me that I'm not paying for them. LMAO!!!

Your the one dazzled by diamonds and baffling with BS.

There is no Mr Wizard here. The resin, plesin, or whatever the stuff is- is soft. GW said that you can bend it by running it under hot water, ( funny how they took that information thred off thier site though ) Put them in the friggin stove? LMAO!!!! Be my guest. I'm saying put in a thermometer and sell the point.

Sling that finecrap, tell me how great it is, but .... show me a picture if your going to claim it so great.

Only pictures that are making thier rounds here are pictures that they are crap!!! Take your pick on which one to see.

I don't need to hear about you trying to prove that a turd is a turd.

Your the one dazzled by diamonds, Gobshites YOUR bag. LOL

I love how that you just learned a new word and think your something special... but- YOU are the one throwing down the gauntlet on a dog here. The well worn talking points that this is an improvement and that it is such a great product are really lost on me- because I have seen 3 in real life that were crap!

As to the thermometer? Go to the store and buy one. you got a hot car, a plastin model, and your mouth- Go the extra yard and actually TRY to be objective, instead of spouting off at the hole here.

You called it, now eat it.

Otherwise your fanboy through and through, and are just going to come back here and say "You haters are hatin'! GW walks on water and leaps tall buildings with a single bound!"

Pictures there, High speed, or your just spouting off at the hole.

What a tool, LOL! We've already said that they are going to melt. The only thing here your proving is that you like attention. LMAO!!!!

Dude. I just bunged it in an oven for 20 minutes at 266F, and it did nothing to the resin.

Net result? Finecast is NOT susceptible to high tempratures.

Nice to see I got your panties in a bunch though. Good end to a good day!

What's the matter petunia? Don't like being called out about an opinion based purely on hearsay, and being presented with (admitedly ropey) evidence to the contrary, by someone with the balls to actually see how it goes?

Face it tosspot, Finecast categorically WILL NOT MELT. The plastic base suffered, the Resin did not.

And as much as you demand photographic evidence...where is yours?

Hah! Hot day in a car in England, thats going to do soooo much to your model. I've had chaos marines warp in my glovebox (left my case at mates place last time we played, went to graveyardshift, made some marines ), and not in the good gifts of the chaos gods way! An unattached arm from when I was making some marines in the car (long story ) that was in the sun got some horrible warping, especially on the wires and spikey parts. And that was plastic

In direct sunlight in a car in England You guys don't have worry for . Although it does raise a question for me, In winter when it gets cold and snowy, do you have to thaw your paints? Mine got frozen when I took them from house to house in Cananda

-edit- Pretty much everything you take outside in Canada gets frozen though

But, why? There are MUCH better things to do. If people don't like the finecast, for whatever reason, that's their deal. Personally, I don't like them, and preferred the metals. I felt it was a sturdier material. This finecast stuff feels brittle. Have I had any problems with it? No. Dose it mean I like it? Also no. Your not an internet super hero who can magically change peoples opinions. If you want to bother people online all the time, that's fine, but its not going to make you any friends.

I lived in Zimbabwe for five years.

Today's heat was very hot, even by African standards.

So your point about weather was again?

I have known a guy for 25 years now, I am 29 so this gives you an idea as to how close we are.

This guy has the same need to constantly prove people wrong, to always have the last word, to display what he beleives is a far larger knowledge base on ANY given subject.

This friend has driven me to the point of wanting to beat the living %&*£ out of him because of pure pig headedness.

This friend has 1 other friend that I know of, who lives 85 miles away.

He lives with his mother and step father, he is 29 also.

He has never to my knowledge had so much as an affectionate hug from the opposite sex.

He does not have a job and has not had a job for any length of time for his entire adult life.

Please for yours and our sake pull your head out you arse

If your going to do something wrong, do it right!!!!

And like others, your opinion is valid, and not for me to even try and change.

I challenged a lie, proved it false, end of.

Dude, I work in Insurance Claims. Arguing is what pays my bills, and gets me up t'pub. Me being a bolshy git is a good thing! And I'm not pigheaded. I had no way to know which way this experiment was going to go. The evidence presented speaks for itself.

As I said, any doubts my findings? The temprature conducted was 266f, for 20 minutes, by my computer (so give or take, didn't note the seconds).

So, off you go, all are welcome to confirm/challenge/refute my findings, using the same parameters I gave.

I'd love to, but I don't own one. I do have a deep far fryer, but it's not going in there. It would ruin tomorrow nights Scampi and Chips!

Yes, because my Liche Priest, having been in the oven, is the blob/mishapen lump people said it would be.

Obviously.

It just happens said lump happens to closely (so closely, one could say it's you know...identical) to how it was pre-toasting.

Alright then, on discussion of your findings.

Finecast is not altered by extreme tempretures, very very extreme tempretures.

Resin in general or the Finecast resin is known for potentially warping after casting, correct?

Is it not helpful that the application of heat would allow you to rectify these potential issues should someone be unlucky enough to experience them.

I spologise if I have mis understood the reasoning for your experiment.

If your going to do something wrong, do it right!!!!

Well clearly, because tonights little experiment proved you right, that Finecast is susceptible to heat...aboslutely...silly me....
