That doesn't make it indie that just makes it badly advertised...

Thats true.

And it wasn't even that either, it had a TV spot and advertising on IGN and the like. It wasn't CoD or other blockbusters so no one really gave it a look. It even got favourable reviews.
Anyway, Bioshock 1, Mass Effects 1 and 2, Red Dead Redemption, Assassins Creed, 1, 2 and Brotherhood, Gears of War 1 and 2, Call of Duty Modern Warfare 1 and 2, Halos 1, through 3, ODST and Reach.

Gears of War (the original especially... sequel was meh multiplayer-wise but better storywise)
Some sort of modern shooter from the Call of Duty or Battlefield series... check to see which one your friends are playing and get that one.
Halo Reach (but not Halo 3)
Mass Effect Series (might as well get the trilogy!)
Catan (based on the "Settlers of..." board game)
Civilization Revolution
Star Wars Force Unleashed (the first one... not the really crappy sequel)
Borderlands (including the DLC as it was also a class act)
Lego Star Wars: The complete saga (it combined the previous two games so make sure to get this version)... cutesy but really fun!
Left for Dead 1 & 2


The ones towards the top tend to be exculsives (or at least were in the past) but the rest are multiplatform.

Is Too Human any good? I played the demo a lot (even figured out the glitch to unlock the Medic class before it was officially released) but then all of the reviews were... underwhelming.

And I believe that in order to enjoy Call of Duty - the latest one, at least - you have to play Bare Bones, classic. No equipment, no kill streaks. You still get perks, and your basic gun.

BFBC2 (you also need the Vietnam addon, its better than the original)
I would say Halo 3, but your past its prime. I don't like Reach though.
Shoot me, but Halo:ODST was a great one-off experience to me. Pick it up cheap and enjoy the story and soundtrack, then toss it before it gets annoying.
If you're looking for a great online experience (and by great I mean most prolific at the moment) then BLOPS, but in all honesty it isn't that great IMHO.

Not a 360 game, but get TOR. This MMO is gonna be AWESOME.

Also, if you haven't played them on the original xbox then get KOTOR 1 and 2. They are outstanding games, and by now are super cheap. Also Morrowind.

not enough people here are mentioning fallout series. 3 didnt get game of the year for no reason. and New Vegas is basically 3 in a different setting. BOTH GREAT

This is a pretty damn entertaining game when played with 4 people...
Just make sure not to put superstar on unless you read it carefully.
One of my friends had it on and we all called him paranoid until he checked and found out the... downsides for the perk.

Too Human is fun. Even more so with another player.

Too human is one of the most horrid games ever made, and isn't worth spending any money on (so I borrowed it for free achievements). Seriously though, the targeting system is crap, the combat is clunky, to say the least, the story wants to draw from Norse Mythology, but all it takes is names.

The only reason I was even able to complete it is that it's piss easy, you are invulnerable (infinite respawns, which take ages though, died once in the whole game..... )
And I was watching all seasons of scrubs while playing.(the main reason I finished it)

Hmm, other than all the Halos I would say get Red Faction Guerilla. You can destroy anything in that game. It is sorta like grand theft auto on mars but you are part of a revolution and can blow anything up.
