Westley: Rodents of Unusual Size? I don't think they exist. RoUS: RAGH!

I'm with others... I'm not getting bear from this. But it is a cool looking mammalian creature!

Personally I like it! I think what makes it look not like a bear is the actual paintjob. While well done bears have a richer darker shade of fur, also the gums are way too pink! Tone them down! If I can find a valid reason for buying one I will! So there.

Either you're cool and got this reference without Google ---or you didn't get the reference and you're not.

I'm not sure anyone would really be interested in a bear model that looked like a bear. Bears really are rather roly-poly and fuzzy from a distance, and don't bring to mind any of the connotations of HAET and RAEG that gamers find attractive.

This model, though, definitely looks more like a mustelid than a bear.

Privateer did a good job of making a bear that looks like a bear.

Somewhere other than that picture you linked? Because that looks nothing like a bear, other than in that it has fur and 4 limbs. It looks like a caricature of a bear... which fits fine into Privateer's aesthetic, admittedly.

Welcome to Dakka, Curtis. I agree that it's not a bear, but it's certainly an improvement over the wolves, and definitely a marketable sculpt as some form of alien/fantasy predator.

Theres a few bits that jar making people not equate it with a bear. First is the paint job, loose the pink flesh ant it will look a lot better. Then there's the hump on the back, it detracts from the shoulders. Lastly the hind legs are wrong. Bears have plantigrade feet on their hind legs which means their feet work like ours and have the heel on the floor. Cats, dogs and wolverines have digitigrade hind legs which means they walk on their toes.
