It's most popular and it's the easiest to show by far. A bewb in world where everything wears tank armour is the easiest to show.
Slaanesh daemons themed for (for example) pain or gluttony would often bring too much similarities to Khorne (he shouts, screams and is covered in blood) or Nurgle ("the fat thing").

Good things are good,.. so it's good

Also, Slaanesh is not the God of Pain, s/he's the Prince of Pleasure and the Lord of Perversion, Debauchery and Excess.

It is best to be a pessimist. You are usually right and, when you're wrong, you're pleasantly surprised.

It's just good PR, that's all. When it comes to Slaanesh, the lord of pleasure and pain, the pleasure is advertisement, and the pain is the fine print.

But in all seriousness, it does encompass more than lust. They are all about sensation of any kind, be it physical, sexual, chemical, etc. They do crazy drugs, listen to whacked out music, and in general act like the worst sort of hedonistic degenerates imaginable.

Fish hooks in your scrotum...FTW!!

Also Nurgle is not a destroyer. Even if you read in his fluff in the CSM you'll read he really is more the god of life. From death comes new life. He spreads plague to give new life.

Maybe it's just me. I do not look at a deamonette and think, "Ooo, sexy." I think, "Yuck those claws are nasty.

I have yet to see a 40k chaos-y image that was all that sexy. They're usually so depraved or clawed or tentacled, or what have you. There is some dark Elf stuff that manages to blend the sexy with the disgusting, but chaos (Slaanesh) is usually just disgusting.

I've always assumed this was intentional.

Like mouths where the nipples would be on the breasts..? If you look at The version of Cleopatra in the Dante's Inferno Game she had a lot in common with a Keeper of Secrets.

Indeed. It's a bit sad how GW currently attempts to deliberately make 'nettes look ugly when all the fluff describes them as oh-so-alluring. The new minis are somehow really missing the mark between daemonic repulsion and exotic sexual lure. You can notice it in the drawings, too! It's as if their power over people was completely changed to something solely psychic so that their looks don't matter any more at all.

That said, GW is currently marketing for a younger audience than "back then", so that might be a good explanation, if a somewhat sad one.

I thought Khorne hates Tzeentch ( the changer of the ways and god of magic).
He hates both.

Equally
Slaanesh is not just a god of pleasure, but of the 7 deadly sins I think.

At the very least, the codex describes his realm within the chaos as seven concentric circles, each circle representing one of the seven sins.

Khorne wants to smash everything in sight while nurgle wants to watch it slowly decay.

Not exactly....

Slaanesh wants to experience everything.
Khorne wants to destroy everything
Tzeentch is the lord of change and flux
Nurgle is the lord of the inevitability of all things: decay, death and the like. He doesn't want to just watch everything decay. He embodies the fact that it *will* decay and you can't stop it from happening.

Slaanesh and Khorne are at odds because it is hard to experience anything when everything has been destroyed.
Tzeentch and Nurgle are at odds because one is geared towards the inevitability of fate and the other has that Terminator 2 mantra :"No fate but what we make" and even that is subject to change.

As the first two chaos powers created, Khorne and Slaanesh really were based on very basic concepts. I really liked the fact that when the 2nd Realms of Chaos book came out, that Nurgle and Tzeetnch were conceptually given a bit more depth.

Slaanesh was the fourth-and-final of the Great Powers to be created, unless that has been ret-conned.

I think he meant chronologically in terms of when they were introduced to the general populace. Not when they were introduced/created/born in the 40k universe.

No retconning involved! In the fluff/back story yes Slaanesh is still the youngest of the Chaos powers. I was refering specifically to when the rules for the chaos powers were created back in the 1980s.
