The sink.

I always like World Eaters for their single-mindedness. I'm not sure how they actually win a battle by running screaming at the enemy though.

OK here is the first explanation :

18- space wolves

So to kick it off at the bottom of the list is the Space wolves. Why? Well Space wolves have always seemed to be rather up-their own arse when it some to tradition and heritage, Fenris is a harsh world - We get it already. They seem very over confident in their ability to fight aswell, instead of making a tactical retreat they carry on fighting, they are not the only legion to do this I know but this is just another reason they are at the bottom.

But surely they cannot be at the bottom just for that? No of course not, what really puts them at the bottom is the fact they kept Rune Priest after Nikea even though they argued against Psykers, a Rune priest even stood up and wanted to ban Psykers yet kept using his powers after they were banned, which to me is one of the most hypocritical things in 40k. Not only that but their constant hatred of the Thousand Sons for being Psykers yet they used the Wulfen essentially saying “It is okay for us to use mutated astartes and Psykers but it is wrong when anybody else does it” leaving me to think?????

Modern space wolves are slightly better but still very boring, simply being “The good guys” is a very, very boring characteristic and the fact they believe themselves to be the most deadly warriors around leaves them at the bottom of the list for their ignorance and over confidence, yes all other legions are over confident aswell but it is the way in which the space wolves do it reminds me of when old people babble on about how things used to be better fifty odd years ago.

17 - World eaters

Well we all knew these guys would turn to Khorne. Surprisingly I own a World eater themed army, but, this has not helped them get higher on the list, yes they are very cool but other legions just have something that puts them ahead, even if it is only by the skin of their teeth. From the very begging we all could have guessed that these guys were going to create mass bloodshed in the name of Khorne, I doubt they ever had many morale dilemmas during the Heresy and betraying the Emperor was probably an easy decision. They have no real character, simply “shoot, kill, shout” which means they have very little to think about and means they face no morale dilemma at all; even the loyalist seemed barely concerned they had been betrayed and therefore they have very little character.

Tactically they just charge straight into the enemy face on making them seem very stupid, they are more of a tool than a legion and now that they are free to roam the eye of terror they are essentially a weapon that flies around space randomly killing whatever they want. All this being said though they did cause the first war of Armageddon, unfortunately they lost and I believe this is down to the fact they had no tactics or no real plan for invasion apart from “Land on the planet and kill everything on it”. With the other legions it is easy to imagine every astartes has a background, from the lowliest traitor marine to the mightiest demon price, I can well imagine they all have some form of story behind them about why they fell to chaos or what ambition they have. Unfortunately for the World eaters they all seem to have the same motive and the same storyline, they were lobotomised and wanted nothing more than to kill.

They are very cool looking and the legion itself has a decent history but unfortunately the lack of character and single mindedness puts them second to last.

I'd prolly say Blood Angels are the number one spot. Between Dante telling Calgar what to do and Mephiston being.. well Mephiston.. I'd say they take the top spot.

"AM are bunch of half human-half robot monkeys who keep tech working by punching it with a wrench And their tech is so sophisticated that you could never get it wrapped it out" thing a LITTLE to seriously. It also goes "Tau tech is so awesome I wish I was Tau and not some stupid Human" thing.

I dont know about good guys lol

Blood Angels may be closer to renegade than Space Wolves, considering the entire Chapter fights complete insanity during battle. They certainly were good guys at the start, but after Horus cursed the entire Chapter, they became pretty tainted by perhaps some of the purest evil in 40K.

Purest evil ?

No they are supposed to be the good guys, Sanguinius knew Horus would kill him and it was because of that sacracfice that te ba go insane today due to the psychic imprint it left on their DNA. The blood angels are supposed to be the doomed heroes but that is just not exciting to me.

I agree that before heresy they were red smurfs, but disagree with being close to turning. Some may if fallen to the Flaw, but as a chapter they are to disgusted with what they have become to turn to chaos. If anything they are the most humane chapter. Also the Black Rage makes them think they are fighting Horus 24/7 so fighting chaos not turning to it.

Definitely should be higher than 14 though.
