Inspired by JustDave's primarch ranking (I want to be more original so I am ranking legions) , I wanted to celebrate 1000 post but before I say I have a finished list I thought I should get some opinons on the current list, I will go into more detail when I make the actual thing

I don't see why space wolves are second to last. Have you read their codex?

Wait, are you ranking the legions as they stand in the 41st millennium? Or are you ranking them in the era of the Horus Heresy? If you are ranking in the 41st millennium I'd rank the traitor legions below the loyalist ones with a few exceptions.

I don't think there's anything meh about space vikings that get drunk on toxic fuels and chemicals because real alcohol doesn't faze them. But then again, I'm biased towards vikings in general. I'd play Space Wolves if they weren't deluded slaves of the false emperor.

Except now they aren't Space Vikings. They're Space Furries.

Your Twlight reference does not phase me. Everyone knows real vampires don't sparkle in sunlight. They suffer an agonizing death involving fire and melting.

Space wolves = For many reasons

1) they hated psykers yet kept using rune priest after Nikea becaue they were "sons of Fenris"

2) During the arc reach cluster camapign they called for the thousand sons, despite the fact they could have contacted 16 other legions for some help (why call in you enemy for help ?)

3) up they're own arse

4) all too happy to bomb the crap out of Prospero

5) they get away with all sorts of things other chapters can't (riding wolves)

Jaded much?

None of the above have anything to do with ranking of power or significance. They are your own opinions.

Why ? What legions do you think are in the wrong place ?

I only disprove because reasons have so far not been elaborated on. When some sound reasoning comes in as to why my favorite Legions are 9, 16 and 17 then I'll maybe enjoy the read.

World eaters are low on the list because they have np personality, just mindless killing.

Word Bearers are low for the reliance on religion, they essentially swaped out deviotion to the Emporer for Devotion to chaos.

Thousand sons are just above the middle They got that high because they are bas-ass psykers but they are not any higher because in the novels they come of some-what arogant (especially Amon) but also because I can't find anything about them that makes them preferable to the legions above them.

I can't sanction a list with that kind of reasoning. If one Legion is put down for arrogance then you'd better do that to all of them.
Mindless killers with no other aspect? Not quite.
Simply swapping out devotion? Again, there's more to it.

Yes and I intend to put in reasoning in the finsihed thing, the list right now litterally looks like scribles. I am fully aware of the complications involved in the decisions but this is fart from the finished article

We should all disapprove of "I will make a post someday" posts. They're pointless and arrogant.

"'players must agree how they are going to select their armies, and if any restrictions apply to the number and type of models they can use."

This is an actual rule in the actual rulebook. Quit whining about how you can imagine someone's army touching you in a bad place and play by the actual rules.

When people ask, "What's the point in understanding everything?" they've just disqualified themselves from using questions and should disappear in a puff of paradox. But they don't understand and just continue existing, which are also their only two strategies for life.

I feel this topic would do better with a little more clarification. You can't be upset with people simply stating they disapprove when the OP doesn't clearly define why they are ranked as such.
