OK, it looks like this thread is pretty dead so I better dump all I can here before it gets buried forever.
Here is my converted Ol'Rowdy. I paid close attention to all the things that made rowdy distinct and tried to imitate them at least partially on the plastic ironclad. The only thing missing is the cygnus because I hate freehanding over rounded surfaces that I already hilighted. He's crushing a poor little wyrd steampunk arachnid. This isn't meant as commentary on malifaux at all, I love that model, I had it before the game of malifaux was even made.
My storm tower, which was the most painful thing to photograph ever.
A full unit of stormblades. These guys are very nice looking considering the age of the models. The age only really shows when trying to put their blasted arms on.
The Black 13th
Major Katherine Laddermore
Thorn with a charger's head.
And speaking of a charger... Here are some of my early metal jacks. These guys, like all of my jacks, have been leaned back quite a few degrees. I can't stand the early mcvey hunch so I had to go to extremes on these two to get their posture closer to what I wanted. It's really shocking how much better the old models look when their heads aren't sunk down to the height of their knees. I never did get an old lancer though, poor thing was beyond fixing.
I do, however, have a nice, new, plastic lancer that solves all of the problems the crummy metal sculpt had.
To round
ot my cobbled-together battlebox I have the alternate sculpt of Commander Stryker. I still think this sculpt is the most characterful of the three.
Here is Stryer's epic version, a much tougher customer in melee than his previous incarnation. Not my best work, but it is hard to get in to that guy's face.
Here are my rangers. They are painted using the tan and green from my army without any blue. To tie their basing in with the rest of my army I decided to make them lurking about in a junkyard and painted their camo cloaks in a rust brown scheme.
Strangewayes here has metal armor. I felt it was more fitting of an armored mechanic to be clad in
raw metal.
