Epic Maj. Haley was one of my first casters painted, she is such a great model. She is one of the models that drew me to cygnar in the first place. I do also have an alternate cpt. Haley but she isn't painted yet.
I've never been happy with the freehand on her cloak but it needed something to not be so empty.

I may as well post my fledgling retribution force in more detail. I only have the three models done because it took so long to decide on how to paint the infantry and in that time I painted a whole lot of cygnar and mercenary stuff.
I do actually have a gorgon, narn, and a single mage hunter I painted as well but they are test models and not as good looking or in the right scheme. I'm also thinking the gorgon will become an aspis as soon as the arms are on the PP parts store so he was not counted in the group photo

That's some extremely well done NMM on the blades, gives it a very realistic chrome look to it. Really makes it pop against the darker and more muted tones of the models themselves.
On a side note: Does that base with all the gears come with that model? I would love some bases like that for some Iron Hands Space Marines I'm thinking about working on.

thank you ,and everyone, for the kind comments. The base on him and a few others I have are inserts which came from Iron Halo. They are very inexpensive for the quality and they do have a set in 40k sized bases for just a slightly higher price (more resin used). Some of mine did have air bubbles on the teeth of the gears but they were teeny tiny and you really cant tell when it's painted.
I don't want to show off all of my best stuff early on and have it all look bad at the end of the thread so here is one of my units:
my nyss hunter stand-ins made from everblight hex hunters. I did have the real unit but after I painted them I took a hard look at them and decided the sculpts were just too ugly so I sold them and used the money to fund the conversions. You can probably tell by now I don't pay much mind to the strict conversion policies and rely on the common sense of the TO to allow some of my stuff.
For those unfamiliar with warmachine, Nyss are a race of winter elves.
And to accompany them when they are working for my cygnar, Cpt. Jonas Murdoch.

Not true. If you went to Adepticon, three color painting is a requirement, so
there's more than 199 points of painted Warmachine all in one place.

Thanks all for the kind words, they are a great motivation to go for 250 next! I started painting my horgenhold forge guard mercenary unit today but pictures wont come until they are finished and sealed, I learned my lessons about photoing unsealed models.
For now, here's one of my first units, the precursor knights. They aren't my best works but I still love the sculpts. They are photoed in front of a chunk of foam since the gray background in my 'lightbox' is too light to show their shading well.
And my arcane tempest gun mages. I still think these old sculpts have more personality than the new ones.
The gun mage UA is a special model to me. It's when I broke out of a two year rut in painting and the first time I felt I had really made progress in years. The stormclad and thunderhead came shortly after when I had a huge drive to see just how far I could take myself.

I've not been a big fan of the Warmachine models before, but that must just have been because of the paint-jobs I've come across. Those guys are totally rad! Clean and super-cool paint-jobs. Sweet poses. All in all, some of the cooler models I've seen. I just wish I could vote for them...

Here are a few merc jacks. I love painting these because I can just go a little crazy and paint them any way I want. it really breaks the monotony.
First, the Orange crush, my mangler. Honestly not a very good sculpt but I got it second hand at 50% off. He has been based since the photos were taken.
Here is my nomad, This sculpt is actually very nice and it's a great model in every aspect except transporting it.
Next up are my mule, Col. Mustard, and my vanguard, Prof. Plumb. I think the color balance is off in these photos but I really don't understand enough to fix it. Probably just my cheap camera sucking more.
Finally, my mariner. I put way too much effort into his base and later decided yo keep basing more simple on the rest of my mercs.
Oh, since I am posting so many mercenaries, I may as well post a few solos.
Epic Eiryss (yes the waystone comes with her, I did not make it myself)
Taryn Di La Rovissi (I did actually make her wall thingy)
Gorman DiWulf, emperor of awesome and best two points in the game. His highlights are prbably too subtle, they don't show in the photo.
