you just made me LOL in RL haha! Thank you very much!

This is the GK HQ, I did this model in a sky to earth nmm, and keep the ivory look to it (thats why its not blue brown an greens) This model was a lot of fun to paint, but honestly I think my efforts were wasted because no one, and I mean no one noticed the difference at the tournament lol. One day though when it gets to be a close call I might get the nudge from it.. I can hope right lol.

Alright everyone I got my Contemtor pattern dreadnought from forgeworld the other day. My goal is to make it 100% posible...which I have done, but wont be feasible on the table. So the joints where the legs meet the hips I will have to superglue...if it was not a table model it would be perfect. I have taken some pics of its progress including where I put magents. Some parts needed magents in 2 spots to bend the leg or keep straight. I am able to turn the head left and right also! This came with no instructions so be careful when glueing the legs on because there is a right way an wrong way...the hip, and the leg plates...and feet. Use the forge world pics to make sure you do it right. I have not dont my weapons on this yet.

Looks cool, do you get four feet? I was thinking of getting the DCCW arm to loot for a Kan, have you got any photos of its parts, how posable are the fingers?

Thank you, and yes it does come with 4 feet. 1 flat and 1 bent. Here are some pics of the parts for the arms on the sprues still. I am doing them tomorrow...they look pretty posable, but not magnet posable if thats what your talking about.

Hey everyone! Quick update. I got the dreadnought finished as far as assemble goes. It looks really cool, better then in the forgeworld pics. I will post pics of it soon. Here are some pics of my troops/strike squads, and my terminators. I made a poll posting about what I should make my power armor colors be for my 2-4th company. I have not started painting because I am kinda stuck as to which direction to go. Please head over to it and tell me your thoughts. Also I plan on making the 2-4 companies paint schemes the zenith technique instead of the ones below....unless a lot of people think it looks better. So here is the link to the poll. http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/389004.page I also edited the first page telling about the Chapter fluff, and the models completed and upcoming models. please read an comment!

All the power amror models are in this paint style ^

I added some rocket boosters on his back to help him be more moblie, and look cooler. He will be in the air doing a side jump (glue permitting) while shooting. Hope you like it! Painting it as soon as I get my power armor colors decided on. Also I hope you liked the first company I posted pics of. I also changed the entire orginal post to add fluff and stuff for the army, and semi layout a plan of upcoming models and chapter/companies.

I look forward to all you guys feedback, and or support!

Also please check out this post to help me decide my colors for the power armor. http://www.dakkadakka.com/dakkaforum/posts/list/389004.page Thank you guys! I added some pics over there to show somewhat what I am talking about.

This army is so cool, you're a very talented painter. You said that you used a mixture of paintbrush & airbrush for your tanks, was it the same for your marines?

The best thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's far too late to stop reading it.

thank you very much! The only marines I did airbrushing on was the ones on the stromraven display base; those were 100% AB. The regular marines were all with a regular brush....and an old beat up one to boot even with the fine edges an script. I found a couple hairs I could get really fine lol and did not want to change brushes mid army. The upcoming troops will be mixture of AB and regular brush though. I have gotten good enough with the AB to take the next step and not worry about messing up the models...that stormraven display base was my test model.

I must say, this is a very odd idea for an army, its easily up there on the scale of other odd army schemes. But I mean that as a compliment as well. not to mention youve pulled it off rather nicely. Your tanks look really nice, and I love those boosters you put on the rear of your dread (they look like boosters anyways) Very cool so far

LOL yeah it is an odd theme. I hope you took a min to read the fluff for it. I made it tie into the 40k universe! I do take it as a compliment, and thank you. I found that you can theme anything almost if you put some thought behind how to go about it. Yeah those are boosters on the dreadnought. I added them to up his cool factor, and also to show how he can move in bursts, or if I play it as a dreadknight...the shunt.

I did not do the base because this is not the base this model will be on. It is going on a base I am having made custom. The dreadnought is also going to be lifted in the aair with a clear stick. This is the color scheme I decided to go with for the chapters 2-4. Hope you guys like it!

Hey thank you! School just started up for me so I have been kinda busy. I'm also waiting on some supplies before I start my next model. More is to come! I'm hoping my new models can cause a stir =). I think I'm sold on the blue like the dreadnought I just posted for the power armor colors.

Hello everyone! I am sorry for my absence; I got carried away with school, and waiting on some funds to get some more items for the army. My GK list changed a little bit, and my grand master has become Draigo. I chopped his arm, and added a storm shield for WYSIWYG. I also put him on a new base. I also incorperated a Libby into my army list. I put him on the base the GM was on since he was stepping down. i hope you guys like the new additions. I also made the LR redeemer in a crusader, and swapable still if needed. I used the stormraven sponsons, and attached actual land raider doors to them on the outside. It looks like the land raider driver can pull them in or out with the push of a button. Whats in the works? I am currently working on getts "S" shoulder pads, and looking at bases for my 2nd company. The libby is magnitized to the base so I can swap him to any company I need to to cut down on model costs.

If you look hard their eyes glow muahaha - I thought about doing the OSL on the swords, and I still am thinking about it. Nothing has convinced me one way or another yet. I have some OSL on one of my terminators that has become a paladin in my list. I also did some OSL for you on my libby that I just finished today!

Thank you very much! I am still working on the base atm. Nothing official as far as that goes yet, but its going to be FoS themed.

The Superman theme really isn't my cup of tea, but even so you've made a fan out of me. You paint scheme is very evocative, and your OSL is amazing.

Thank you very much. Yeah sometimes it can get tricky hitting the right angles with the osl.

Cool! Thank you! I am glad I made a fan out of you! I am glad you all are still liking the paintings. I have been considering wrapping up this army actually, and starting a new themed army. I know I planned on doing several companies based on Supes, but I am not gonna do that part of it now. I have a crap load of Quartz so I will be doing somekind of Fortress type display board. So there is at least 1 more company coming since I have to match the bases to the display board!

I have not abandoned this army; I am taking a break from it atm. I am looking for a different direction to take the army since my bases, and shoulder pads fell through (way to pricey). I am currently working on a SW army, and I will post pictures when the first squad is complete. Please feel free to comment on this thread post ideas etc, and I will check up on it. Thanks everyone!
