Other than the Big Four, the old character heavies weren't all that characterful either. Nightmare is just a slightly larger Slayer with longer claws, and he's the most characterful of the bunch.

They were unique sculpts at least, and most of them look damn cool. Now we pay the same or more for the generic chassis with 3 metal bits.

The old meta is dead and the new meta struggles to be born. Now is the time of munchkins.

Juggernaut and Rowdy and Fires are not all that uinique at all. They're just the normal Jacks with a few fancier bitz. Nightmare is the most unique of the bunch, he's a slightly larger jack with a few fancier bitz.

Character Jack's don't need to be unique, they aren't created to be special they all started 'life' a rank and file jack who bonded with their caster

Then got attached fancy bits . In other word yes upgrade kit is fluffy, unless it is quite Impossible Character Jack should be made from Upgrade kit IMO (Impossible being say a Nightmare, or Beast 09, they are both larger than their original)

Technically, no. They're only larger than their original chassis because they were sculpted later. Nightmare and Beast are both about the same size as the appropriate plastic kits. I've seen some good conversions for each from the plastics, too.

Working on a plastic Ol Rowdy as we speak. While he's got ambunch of detail that's different than a normal Iron Clad, most of it is small stuff like spikey knees or a different arangment of shoulder studs. He could easily be done as an upgrade kit with four metal bitz. Engine, right arm, right shoulder with badge, and badge for the left shoulder.

I just think that the little girl is there just to emphasis the nightmarish "feeling" of the jack. There isn't an greater nighmare for an girl than an giant, bloodthirsty monster after all. Oh, and Nighmare isnt as uncontrollable as the other jacks in the cryxian army. Deneghra made the Nightmare as an silent and accurate hunter, which doesn't let its prey live for long. If you think that the girl has an symbolic meaning, then I think that the girl resembles Deneghra when Skarre took her from his home and is an symbol that the cryxians cannot be stopped. The forces of cryx are an unreleting force which is the worst nightmare for anyone facing them. The cryx will conquer all and if you dont join them, then you will face an slow and agonizing death.

Funny that Nightmare doesn't cause terror.
I like the prey marker idea a lot.

Though my favorite thing that had come from the inclusion of the little girl on NMs art is the Sig banner of her holding Pedobear.

This is a little story about four people named Everybody, Somebody, Anybody, and Nobody.
There was an important job to be done and Everybody was sure that Somebody would do it.
Anybody could have done it, but Nobody did it.
Somebody got angry about that because it was Everybody's job.
Everybody thought that Anybody could do it, but Nobody realized that Everybody wouldn't do it.
It ended up that Everybody blamed Somebody when Nobody did what Anybody could have done.

Actually when I first used Nightmare, I was blown up by the fact that the jack doesn't have terror. Maybe the not prey guys don't see him that terrifying

I like to look at it is that most people do not notice him so there is not much to be terrified of. And he kinda melds in the shadows.

Works well with the fact that he has stealth and reach.

Meh, Stealth is a double edged sword.
When I use it with eDenny, I wish it wasn't stealthed as it's usually the largest based model that I tend to hide eDenny behind...

Stealth and hiding behind it doesn't work... :-(
