But honestly that is the way it should always be. The problem is most people don't know tactics. Real tactics so they let there list win. A good list does not make for a good tactician. A good tactician can take a crappy list and still walk over someone. If more people played with tactics then with list, games would be more fun and interesting.

Necrons beating GK, maybe they don't suck as much as everyone thinks

and what is it the Pariahs are "VERY" good at?

All enemy units in range are reduced to ld7 if they are 8 or higher
all psykers in range must pass a morale check at the start of their turn or fall back; if they are in close combat, they dont fall back, but can now only score hits on a roll of 6

Now, think how many units count as pyskers in the gk army and how much it sucks to count as ld7 when taking morale tests. Toss in some well placed scarab turbo boosting and you can escort quite a few units off the board.

Pariahs are still difficult to play though and suck against pretty much everyone else

Yes! I love it when Pariahs do some good!

But sadly that last statement is true and makes me a tad bit glad that the current rumors are that they're going to be removed... though I'd rather have them improved... wishful thinking.

Gods? There are no gods. Merely existences, obstacles to overcome.

I think they need to be rewritten, not just improved, and not discarded either. There is no meaningful reason to have a non-necron unit like that in the army list. Playing necrons means all units (other than support machinery) should be, well, necrons. It never made sense to me that somehow the necrons would want to emulate the prey and make a "hybrid". What qualities would the prey have that necrons would want to emulate? Agility? Then emulate space elves, not humans. Strength/toughness? Necrons are already tougher. Just silly.

Ignoring 2+2++ invulnerables in close combat

Pariahs are good at that too Shame that they only have one attack, and low I.

I'd like to see the Pariahs revamped, with their abilities more or less as is, but an altered statline, and counting as Necrons. Not likely though..

Ld7 plus making every unit take a Ld test or fall back.

and my Interceptors, who were supposed to quickly take the Pariahs out, wiffed their attacks, lost a member, and then fell back because they were testing on Ld6.

the dice gods were not pleased with me that day. I shall have to sacrifice a goat before Ard Boyz to placate them.

Sacrificing a goat is too mainstream for the hipster 40k dice gods, kill an elephant with the face of a squid....than the dice gods will be pleased!!!

I would do that, but I just can't find a squid's face. the Goat will have to do.

I do plan on making my own dice out of the Goat's bones, that'll get me some points.

Strangulation? or should I go for the dagger?

Considering how sadistic the dice gods are, and with the choices you provided, strangulation.

Personally, I'd go with death of a thousand paper cuts.

faster way....light the goat on fire first to burn off the fur, than quickly throw water on it to save its life....than let the cuts flow from the paper of DOOM!!!

Cthulhu?

The best thing about this particular signature is that by the time you realise it doesn't say anything it's far too late to stop reading it.
