Make your own. That's what I did and you can come up with your own fluff, like they don't mind helping eldar incases like this one with Iyanden. You don't have to be slave to their kabals.

BT uses the Codex Astartes as toilet paper. They’re an Imp Fist successor, recruit from multiple planets, and are known to be the largest Chapter in the galaxy. They’re on a constant Crusade, keeping it real for the Emperor and not bumming around like the other guys. They hate psykers and can’t ally with them. They’re basically an entire chapter of Chaplains. CC lunatics. What every Space Marine should aspire to be, if not trapped in a Matt Ward nightmare.

On the dying race:
Dark Eldar have a growing population, although some of them are grown in vitro.
Haemunculi and people paying a price are in a sense immortal, as they can always be grown from some cells (a nod to D&D Liches).
Then you have the soul leech thing, making all Dark Eldar dying a bit all the time.

Don't they heal by stealing souls? Or am I getting that wrong?

They heal by pain. They soak it up as someone is tortured beneath their healing pod in a Haemonculus lab.

The Viletide: Daemons of Nurgle/Deathguard: 7400 pts
Disclples of the Dragon - Ad Mech - about 2000 pts
GSC - about 2000 Pts
Rhulic Mercs - um...many...
Circle Oroboros - 300 Pts or so
Menoth - 300+ pts

@ Ascalam That would be healing if they die not a normal injury, but I guess they could recover limbs that way to.
@ woodbok They replenish their souls by torturing others souls and taking others once the victim dies.
@Kroothawk Their souls are being drained by slaanesh all the time hence the reason they have to replace it (commoragh helps lessen the drain)...but yes they increase their number via tubes.

Akroma06 wrote:I noticed the thing about the Dark Eldar expanding as well, but I think that is refering to the kabalites that are born in tubes not Dark Eldar who have true parents. I also think that the two are closer since under Drazhars fluff it practically says he is Ahra. For the most part it seems to be a pride issue and that the DE feel that we are the same race. My Kabal goes so far as to have one of its goals be the reconstruction of the Ancient Eldar and their excessive ways...obviously not to the point that a new god is made.

My guys believe that by bringing Isha from the clutch of Nurgle they will restore the Eldar to their former glory

Wow that is cool my guys actually try and behave the way that they did in society but still love to raid and torture but the have also gone so far as to call themselves the Kabal of the Ancients. They actually hold territory (thanks to a campaign) that was once a shrine world and are trying to avoid the imperium as that is too big for now. Good luck to your men on freeing Isha...make sure they exploit for every possible gain as is the DE way!

I'll see what I come up with when I get more units

Dire Avengers/Kabalite Warriors were an option for Trueborn, but I went with Kabalite Warriors/Dark Elf Corsairs instead. Still thinknig what to do with the Avengers. I was also thinknig about using a Female Farseer like in DoW 2 for a HQ choice with WYSIWIG, but sadly there's no model like it.

Good luck to your men on keeping that Shrine World - the Imperium will eventually be back to give the Emperor his due.

RatBot wrote:In fact, don't the Eldar and Dark Eldar refer to each other as "my wayward cousin" in some of the fluff? They certainly don't always get along, but they're not bitter enemies like Chaos and the Imperium are. They're both Eldar after all, and against a serious threat to either one, I don't think it too far fetched to think the other would come to their aid.

Its not all love and daises between the two factions however. If you want to become an Incubi, for example, you need to kill an Aspect Warrior and shatter his spiritstone so that his soul is forever lost. Not what I'd do to just a wayward cousin.

Haven't read this before. Where did you get that information from?

Spoiler:
And in "Path of the Warrior" one of the characters is an Incubus accepted to train as an Aspect Warrior after a capture during a Webway raid. Supposedly pretty important, too.

Shhhh!
