Thanks

So !

I finished / based a few pieces that needed finishing touches, now the few pieces that I needed done are done, except the furnace wich needs a little touch up.

I might leave this blog alone for a little while, since I want to switch to two other armies that need to be painted : dwarves and Orcs&Goblins.

I might just do more skaven in the end though, I do have a lot of them left x_x

Here are the last pics :

And just for fun, here are a few kitbashed warchieves I did to lighten up when I didn't feel like painting (most of them are incomplete though). I did theme with the main clans in mind :

BSB

skryre Warchief

Clan eshin

Clan moulder ( the sling would be replaced with a whip)

And a grey seer on foot, missing the horns

I nearly forgot x_x The mandatory group shot, altough It's missing quite a few pieces (abomination, screaming bell, a few IoB stuff), but still it's something

Two pics, since the focus switches from the front to the back ( click on the pics to see a bigger version) :

Annnnnd that's all, folks : )

Hi there,

Been a while since I posted (or painted ) anything! But since i'm doing my ebay stuff again, I though I'd revive this thread

I've been working on the new treeman/durthu from GW; nothing too spectacular to show, but I wanted to post wips before the finished piece.

I have mixed feelings about the miniature : it's not that big (especially for the pricetag), and I have the feeling, when I read the assembly notice and checked the sprues, that GW needlessly complexified the mini so that you can only build one of the three possible monsters, and can't play with interchangeable pieces (and hence need to buy several minis). Every joint (2 shoulders; 2 arms, 4 legs) and the waist are specific to a variant.

I did work around it though, you just need to chose the joints wisely and maybe do a little filing/cutting so that you can get an interchangable tree.

Speaking of wich, would you be interested in a mini guide on wich joint to use and the little ajustments needed ? It took me a little while to figure out something, so I though I'd save the pain for the others

here's the pic : Sorry if it's too blurred, I'll take better pics once it's in a more advanced state, wich shouldn't take long .
