I'll be attending both the SoCal Slaughter 5 Fantasy Tournament and the Neon Con 40K Tourney...my Khorne Daemons need to collect more skullz for my Dark Master!

Sorry it was bad form for me to have posted in this thread.

The deadline for list submission for the SoCal Slaughter 5 is September 1st. There has been some confusion and people thought it was August 1st, but that is not the case. To recieve a reroll token, you must be paid, via paypal, to the treasurer@scgwl.com no later than August 27th, however.

FYI- The Smackdown is not our event. We recommend 40k players who want a 2 day event check out Adam's event. Apparently he is also running his own Fantasy GT the same day as ours a half hour down the road (/boggle), which we obviously do not endorse, but hey if he is still salty at me and wants to pull a Mondo Vega, it sucks but it is what it is.

Additional note:
At the Strategicon events, we will have open gaming Friday and Saturday nights, if there is sufficient interest.

Neoncon, the rooms are on a stricter time schedule, so we are not able to have as much open gaming.

We are getting some additional prize support from Game Ogre games, so if you intend to blow money at the Con, try and route some there way. Also, they are the ones who had Wonderwoman running around in those photos with Reece, so there is that!

Neoncon signup method should be worked out by the first week in september, but for right now an email to scott.tiveron@gmail.com will be plenty good.

Is there a deadline for 40k lists for Strategicon?

No list dead line fo rthe Strategicon. just show up and play. I am bringing 10 topper so I can acomidate 20 player.

Ok, little extra information:
Fantasy GT attendance looks to be mid 20s. Not up from last year, but not down either, even with someone Mondo Vegaing us again, so I am fine with that. Lots of Dark Elf players, but half of them are toning things down (the ones who aren't though, omfg) so theres that to consider.

Lists submissions are due for the Fantasy Slaughter by tommorow evening, so that I have time to print them out for judge review. Please email text, AB3, or Word format to me (phazael.scgwl@gmail.com) in the next 24 hours. We review lists friday and you should even have your first two round opponents available by friday night, if everyone submits their list on time. Late submission means playing the mean as hell side of the room the first two rounds.

Finally, the Neoncon registration pages should be up very soon, according to Mike Shields. This year we are in the lower room in the tropicana, with more access to the outside (the same room as Throne of Skulls) and less congestion. Hey, the Slaughter on the Strip is 6 rounds! And 2:15 for 1850pt games! Rock!

The packet is up here. Only 2 things jumped out at me - 1) Witch Hunters is still listed as an allowed codex; and 2) both Seize Ground missions are 5 objective. It'd be great to see some variation in Seize Ground - maybe a 3 & a 5?

I'll bring both those points up to Scott while we are working the Slaughter this weekend.

Doh darn cut and paste bandit got me. I will change and update. yeah I wrote the packet prior to the witch hunter coming out in WD. Since it will be close to 30 day since the codex/WD is release they will use the WD. Look for a net packet later next week as we will be at the convention this weekend.

Do you guys bring the SCGWL terrain with you to Neoncon?

YEah our terrain travels with us whererver we go. We even rented some out to the BAO, because Reece is that manly. The girls (Scott's wife Carol and my wife Jen) do the bulk of the work on it, with help from Scott. I mostly sit around and get yelled at for crappy dry brushing and over use of glue.....

That beach table is fantastic!

NeonCon Update. They should have the registstration up and running for the 40k GT in the next couple of days.

We have heard from some fantasy players that they want fanstay run. We would be happly to do this but we want to get at least 12 people confirmed that they will show. I think we have 6-8 right now so if you are a fanasty player and can come to Neoncon let us know and we can see about adding Fantasy.

Is there a bad reason to go to Vegas?
