First off, Devastators are Heavy Support, not Troop.

Now, my loadout isn't all that crazy. All that is available to Veterans. The close-combat weapon, the lasgun and the grenades are the basic equipment. I onli added the cloak, mines, sniper, charge, caparace, melta bombs and demolition charge. That costs about 14 points!

A Thousand Son would have the advantage of not having an actual bodythere ore being able to walk among the undead with no danger. It's the same t ing that happens with the Necrons.

That zombie type sounds quite dangerous for a guardsman, but not too much for an a Astartes. The ceramite armor would protect them from all attacks. Same goes for all other armors. Hell, even caparace can be a great protection against zombie nails, teeth and fists! Now, if we were talking L4D infected...

Actually, let's do that. How about making them face a L4D infection?

Easiest choice, Plaguebearer. Out zombie the zombies.

I would be an imperial guardsmen packing a bolt pistol, a chainsword, a flashlight .. i mean a lasgun, frag grenades, camo cloak and i would bring a rucksack loaded with army issue food seeing as the damn stuff last forever, and ammo. I would bring no armour ... not even Flak armour the way i see it what dose armour help when there's 5 of em ripping you limb from limb , at least without it i can run farther and faster.

IG hardened veteran with custom lasgun with bipod and scope, frags, flamer, carapace armor, and a bicycle capable of being folded for back-transport. Why a bicycle?

1.) no fuel requirement.

2.) simple structure; ease of repair.

3.) quadruples your speed with the same amount of work as running.

How about an eldar jetbike? How are zombies gonna beat somethig thats flying around 30 feet in the air while loosing large amounts of shuriken rounds at them?(i know shuriken weapons dont fire rounds but it sounds so nice)

Or an ork deff dred, wich IS a troop choice (if you have a mek)

I'm going all balls and picking Firewarrior with pulse rifle. Gimme Drone controller w/2 gun drones and i'm picking off these sacks of walking meat at 10 klicks.

I think anyone with access to melta weapons or bolters would have a bit of an advantage (who needs headshots when you can just vaporise them or blow them to bits?).

By far the best choice.

You're like a zombie yourself, only seven to eight feet tall, strong as a marine, even more durable, and have a gun that disintegrates the zombie scum.

Though really, anyone in power armour or better would be just friggin' fine, since zombies simply CANNOT chew through it, and even a Sister should have the strength to pulverise them physically.

How about a Plague Marine? Those zombie will never get past toughness five and feel no pain!

Yeah, a Plague Marine would very unlikely be affected by most fictional zombie infections.

If I remember right, the rulebook actually talks briefly about some planet being taken over by zombies in the background section.

I guess I don't really understand what the problem is if you're a Space Marine or Necron. All the zombies could do is break their hands against Power Armor while the guys inside slash and shoot them.

Be anything nurgle-related. Most likely the demons/followers already have several zombie virus strains inside them. The zombies would either ignore them, or bite them and, subsequently, decay even faster. The nurgle guys would probably even enjoy the experience.

Yah but a horse cant see much a difference in a horde of nids , or zombies , my horse is a battle hardened war steed and has seen much worse enemys id prefer a swarm of undead over tyranids any day of the week .

Horses tire and can kill themselves if driven past their limits running, and also need to be fed a rather hefty amount of feed to keep healthy which is rarely available in a city.

They throw shoes all to easily on hard surfaces and even battletrained horses are skittish and mildly insane (they are horses ).

Horses are also infectable, and unless yours comes with a computer instead of a brain they will not react well to being mobbed by creatures that reek of blood and decay.

Eldar dire avenger armor, powersword and a sunrifle.
The armor is nice and light, as well as flexible. Itll stop zombie jaws easy, but isnt as clunky as power armor. Then theres always back up metal plates too.
The powersword will cut down anything close to you, and with the far range guys will get cut down by the insanely high fire rate of the sunrifle ( which doesnt need alot of power to punch through unarmored zmbies.)

Artificer Armor, Twin Lightening Claws, Jump pack.

Grey Hunter melta gun, bolt pistol, bolter, chainsword, and grenades.
