Usually when someone creates a thread like this they are either looking for an army that is easy to transport, or one that is inexpensive. Thus I wonder if the OP is really interested in low model count army.
Used armies are always cheapest.
There are various factors to consider when transporting an army. Will you be taking it on a plane? Do the models have lots of bits that are prone to breaking? Do you need the army to withstand extreme heat or cold? Terminator armies transport easily, as do many SM builds.
As has probably been noted, daemons have the advantage that you can play both fantasy and 40k with the same models.

Deathwing would serve both of these aims, IMO, with the surplus of AOBR Terminators to be had.
