Dark crusade is the best its campaign and army's are much better but i have not played soulstorm.

As fun as Dark Crusade is, the AI outright cheats in that game. If you've ever looked at the AI's honor guard, it's always about 4-5 times as big as their actual controlled territory. The most notable example I saw was in my current Dark Crusade campaign as Guard. The Ork AI actually has a full honor guard of 15 (or is it 12?) units. The Ork AI controls a whopping 5 territories, one of which is the stronghold (and another is the Forward Base area).

By the way, has anyone noticed that stronghold missions are damn near impossible to win on the defense? I don't know if it's for the above mentioned reason, but I've only ever survived as Guard, and that was because I was able to muscle out 3 Guardsmen squads, put 'em up to full strength, and get 'em stuck inside the main HQ building where they get free plasma guns.

I'd be down for a game, but I'm strictly a firestorm player now :/

I've been playing Dawn of War 1 recently. I've slowly been going through the campaigns of each game. I've gotten what's usually considered the "canon" endings for each game. Soulstorm is fun, but Dark Crusade is so much better. Whenever I go to play online, I feel like I only play against people who play to play competitively like on a starcraft level.

I hate the amount of competitive people online in ANY RTS, It ruins the online experience....

Yeah and the funny thing is that you see the same strategies over and over again. It makes me wonder sometimes why RTS creators even bother making Uber units like the Squigoth and all of the research trees when most of them aren't even used.

Though I've lost my disks, I can pick up a copy of Dark Crusade for the lols, and friendly matches if interested.
