I'm with ya. The way I've modeled my Warriors makes it difficult to get more than eighteen. However, using just the base as a reference, twenty models is the most you can get in a normal disembark.

if you really want to get pissed off about the Monolith the FAQ specificly states that it shoots from the Guns on the 'lith. and the BRB says any weapon that can pivot has a LOS exactly of what it can pivot to. The thing that really sucks is if you pay attention to how far the guns pivot downward you can't shoot anything that is within about 10" of the model itself as the guns just don't pivot down that far...... but thats a really dick thing to do to an already painful codex.

You should re-read that section of the BRB.

"In the rare cases when it matters (your tank might be targeting a sniper high up in a bell tower), assume that guns can swivel vertically roughly by 45°, even if the barrel on the model itself cannot physically do that !"

Taking a quick look at one of my monoliths, it looks like a 45° arch off the pivot of the gun would just clip a single 28mm model in base contact. It will certainly catch bigger models, or units of infantry.
