I would suggest you update all you drivers (sound, video, chipset, bios, etc), plus make sure Windows is up to date. Also, RAM is EXTREMELY cheap right now, get yourself 4GB of the fastest RAM your motherboard can handle, it's also very easy to install.

The question isn't why do I kill. The question is, why I don't kill everybody.

Reported the troll for trolling; too bad you can't report for idiocy.

Still not working Darkvoid? I'd also try some more memory first if you can get some, its quite cheap.

Your PC is pretty far under the minimum specs. I'm not surprised.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if I picked up a copy of the actual game and it worked just fine.

"Fine" is relative, your fine is most certainly not my fine. But that's beside the point, you can get 2GB of RAM for less than the cost of a PC game, 4GB for about the same cost as a PC game, there's no need to skate by when a very cheap and simple upgrade would make a world of difference, and not just when it comes to games.

I know. But there's compatability issues and whatnot. Besides, by the beginning of the new year I intend to have a decent quad core up and running, so there's no point spending cash on this old thing. I'm just looking for a quick fix right now.

It runs fine on my alienware m11x "netbook" and it only has a dual core 1.6 Ghz processor. I can run it at the highest settings with little stuttering at all. Strange....

I reinstalled Windows last night and I had the same problem whereas I didn't before. All I did was check the game cache integrity and it started to work again.

I've done that before. It didn't work.

Dude.... your computer is not going to play this game, I'm sorry to say. Honestly it's not even worth upgrading, as your motherboard won't support any processor that is dual core.

As for you hearing bad things about Win7, let me tell you, it is an amazing OS and well worth the money.

Ok then.

When you decide to get a new machine, let me know, I'd be happy to help.
