@ Kommissar Kel: Sorry for my misunderstanding your post. I actually though I was agreeing with you. My brother magnetized all his his dreadnaughts, and so the top half of them can rotate. I assumed all dreadnaughts could rotate and that the rules of the game allowed them to rotate their top half because of their close combat rule in which attacks are always made against their front armour. When you said immobilized vehicles can't pivot but can rotate turrets, I thought you were referring to rotating the top half a dreadnaught like a turret, in which case the immobilized aspect would mean that the legs could not move the dreadnaught in any direction, but the top half can rotate.

However, the CC rules on pg. 73 do not refer to "rotating" but "turning" to face the enemy. Also, the damaged results of immobilized or stunned walker only state that they lose 1 base attack. With the lack of written information about walkers whose torsos can rotate and those who can't, I suppose we should treat them all the same no matter what the model can physically do. That way Killa Kanz and dreadnaughts will have the same damage results and capabilities, which is to not change their facing after immobilization. Sorry about the misunderstanding.

I don't write the rules. My ego just lives and dies by them one model at a time.

Immobilized walkers in CC are in fact still hit always on their Front AV; but that has little to do with the fluff bit about them "turning to face their attackers" and more to do with the fact that Immobilized does not alter the base rule of always getting hit against Front AV.

I know it is confusing as written, but we have a base rule that in CC the Walker is hit against FAV(no matter the physical placement of enemy models), the Walker also does not physically turn on the table top, it stays exactly where it was when assaulted(if assaulted), or where it ended up when it assaulted(you do not turn it to face every attacker as they attack, which would make even less sense when an entire squad is surrounding the walker). We then have a set of specific rules as to what happens in CC when it is Immobilized; The Front AV portion of the earlier rule does not get changed, therefore it still gets hit on the front av even though that rule describes the walker as turning to face for a reasoning.

Immobilized and Shooting or actual table-top movement is entirely different an interaction, as it is physical movement of the model, which is denied by immobilized.

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.
Stop looking for buzz words and start reading the whole sentences.

@ Kommissar Kel: When you said that immobilized tanks could not pivot but could still rotate their turrets, I thought you were referring to rotating the top half of a Dreadnaught. Sorry for misunderstanding your post, but I really thought I was agreeing with you. Also, after reading the posts after mine, even if the model could rotate it's top half, I think that all walkers should be treated the same by the damage table, meaning that they should not be able to rotate or pivot after immobilization or stunning just like War Walkers and Killa Kanz.

I don't write the rules. My ego just lives and dies by them one model at a time.
