nothing wrong with traditional skins..I was a punker in my youth and we always saw skins at shows.

Now neo nazi try hard skins can die in a hole. Nazi punks feth off!!

While we're wildly off topic, the reasons for the og skins and their short hair has been given a tons of different reasons, usually all given with the ulterior motive of making "skinhead" a phenomenon more closely linked with their own personal views. The more ultra pc dudes argue that it was an emulation of they style of black soul and ska singers, the more aggro knuckleheads espousing the idea that it helped them in fights, while others saying it was simply the easiest and most hygienic hairstyle for a bunch of young dudes who worked in factories to maintain. I figure it was probably a mixture of all three coupled with the main point that short hair just looks cool.

Yes, the dudes running around in exquisitely filigreed baroque armor adorned with tunics and golden chords are totally not in the least bit vain.

They capture squigs, cage them, then dunk their heads into the cage. The hairstyle is determined by how hungry the squigs are. Simple.

Not completely, just short.

So that's why they are so often bald?

No, they're bald from their inability to grow hair due to KILLING THINGS WITH FIRE! Whenever hair grows, it gets burned away.

As long as they have a neat, 90 degree angle on their buzz cuts I don't think they really care. Space Wolves being the obvious exception, full of long haired, beardy goodness.

US Army and Marines do it so that you can't really tell the difference between the soldiers when their helmets are on.

Don't know about that. Considering the differences in Marpat (USMC camo) and Multi-cam (i think the US army has , or is moving to that, have to ask an expert on that one) It mostly just a difference in regulations. Differing chapters would probably have differing regs, and that would lead to different ways of dealing with the haircut.

Edit: Ah, cant tell the difference between the Marines and Soldiers as compared to the others Marines and Soldiers. Haha, I got you now.

Eye of Terra.

Soldiers wear their hair short because it's dumb to have long hair as a combat soldier... for any number of reasons.

If you see a soldier with long hair assume he's a wannabe, a partisan (and doesn't know any better), or a SpecFor op. pretending to be one of the former... and in that case, it's your gamble.
