I'd like to start a new eldar army.
Unfortunately, a lot of the models crawled out of 2nd edition, and the codex crawled out of early 4th edition and probably won't get an update until 6th, where it will have to wait in line behind the new codex space marines, dark angels and black templars.
*sigh* And here I was thinking that eldar were supposed to be one of the "core" factions, alongside marines, orks and guard.
New fire prism and support weapons were nice, but no substitute for a proper release. I'd have much preferred to see them get a codex this edition rather than "space marine codex no. 7".
It's getting a bit ridiculous, we have gotten seven new space marine codexes (yes, seriously, count them!) while the xenos races have been left to rot.. tyranid codex was beyond terrible, easily the worst one out of 5th edition.
I'd really like to see Angels of Death returning as a codex to cover both blood angels and dark angels, along with dropping black templars down to a variant included in codex space marines, same as the salamanders.
I own a black templars army, so there is no bias in that statement, I just don't think that GW can support 7 marine codexes properly. 5 would allow them to not totally neglect the xenos races and actually maybe release a complete range of codexes every edition rather than players being stuck with 2 editions-old books.
Unfortunately, the rumours of a secondary chaos legions book (along with the addition of the daemons codex instead of putting them in with CSM where they belong) iindicates that GW are full-throttle going in the other direction.
