1) The Mentalist (Awesome! Can't wait to see how Mr. Jane gets out of his latest predicament, though really, it should be rather easy!)
2) Burn Notice (A fun ride + Bruce Campbell!)
3) Bones (Especially THIS year's upcoming season!)

I've honestly never liked Burn Notice. The writing is clever, and the actors are good, but a crisis of the week format mixed with the overarching storyline like they have irks me. Too much going on at once for my taste. I will say though, they've done a great job stringing the story out.

My dad loves the show though. Watches every episode or records.

Burn Notice annoyed me because nothing ever happened, I watched the first season and it was just a snorefest.

The question isn't why do I kill. The question is, why I don't kill everybody.

I'm not sure he should have a predicament Alph...
After all he did tell a dangerous and armed serial killer to stop which he didn't before shooting...
@MrH and LordofAhts I do kinda understand about Burn Notice the overaching sotry is kinda drawn along whilst the episodic story seems to be merely a distraction.

I can see why people like it. It's just not my style to mix two unconnected story lines together (some episodes do connect them a little). I actually like the the episodic story lines a lot. Crisis of the Week gets mocked for poor writing by critics a lot, but I've honestly always liked being able to just tune into a show and not have to worry about not being caught up with what's going on in the story. I like arching storyline two, just not mixed together in one episode.

You're a heretical malcontent and shall be smitten by The Chin!

But seriously. The first season was "a snorefest"? Did we watch the same first season?

This is partially why I enjoy Burn Notice...a lot.
They do as much as they can to make sure that you know what's going on.

I will say that the second season felt a bit "busy", but since then...it's become far more interesting.
And the TV movie "The Fall of Sam Axe" was absurdly good. And it makes a Bruce Campbell geek reference.

I liked Bones until they started sticking stealthy and not so stealthy commercials into the plot. I pay extra for a DVR so I can fast forward through TV commercials, dammnit!

1): Haven. Smartest show on TV.
2): The Venture Brothers. Go ahead, laugh at stuff you're really not supposed to laugh at, it's on me.
3): Ancient Aliens. Mock if you like, the evidence is literally EVERYWHERE!!!

There are a few episodes of Burn Notice that amount to car commercials for that Hyaundai (spelling?) sports car. Me and my dad actually laughed. Its funny

If you like electronic music and amazing dancing, The LXD is worth a look. It's on Hulu, and episodes are by-and-large less than 20 minutes. That's about all I've been watching lately. Well, besides MLP:FIM that is...

Arrested Development - Best show since Seinfeld.

Q.I. - If you are outside of the UK, Youtube this. Takes TV to new heights.

If we're allowed to include shows that are no longer on the air, then I would replace Breaking Bad with Arrested Development. Another unbelievably funny show.

In no particular order for all of these.

Comedy:
1) Monty Python's Flying Circus
2) Fawlty Towers
3) Invader Zim

Drama/Action:
1) Lost
2) Battlestar Galactica
3) I'm not sure for this one, as I actually don't have TV, but I have heard Game of Thrones is good.

Invader Zim, Lost and Battlestar are all on Netflix. I'm not sure about the others, and I know Game of Thrones isn't there.

Anime, if you're into it:
1) Code Geass
2) Neon Genesis Evangelion

90% of Monty Python isn't funny or memorable.

Burn Notice used to be enjoyable, but I really feel like they're just phoning it in this latest season.

I honestly could never get into Lost.. dunno, just never appealed to me as it reminded me too much of "reality" tv, like Survivor.

The 3 shows that i would recommend (if i have to narrow it down):

1. Mad Men
2. House
3. SNL

And for no longer on the air shows:

1. Carnivale
2. Scrubs (the real series, not the newest iteration that sucked)
3. Arrested Development

Im pretty fussy, but Lost?!

I watch an episode of something a day, because I put it on my laptop when I do my hours rowing. As a result, I've even watched things I didn't actually enjoy, and Lost was absolute horse gak. I made it to the end of the first season and I'm stunned at how bad it was.

GOT was merely decent, same goes for Dexter, BSG and 24. Although, the first two seasons of 24 were decent, the rest were progressively worse.

Lost, Heroes and Entourage were god fething awful.

My three would be...

The Wire, The Shield, The Sopranos.

How did I forget about BBT?? that show is too funny, especially considering the level of detail they go into for some of the non-verbal jokes.
