Which is what I said in the first place, and you disagreed.

7 Ork facts people always get wrong:
Ragnar did not win against Thrakka, but suffered two crushing defeats within a few days of each other.
A lasgun is powerful enough to sever an ork's appendage or head in a single, well aimed shot.
Orks meks have a better understanding of electrics and mechanics than most Tech Priests.
Orks actually do not think that purple makes them harder to see. The joke was made canon by Alex Stewart's Caphias Cain books.
Gharkull Blackfang did not even come close to killing the emperor.
Orks can be corrupted by chaos, but few of them have any interest in what chaos offers.
Orks do not have the power of believe.

I was disagreeing that the monkey dying has any effect on the rules given - if it did, then you would be breaking the "the result applies fo rht rest of the game" rule.

I pointed out hte inherent contradiction in your initial stance - and that the only way you can resolve it is by granting the bonuses at the start of the game, and not caring about models joining or leaving.

Once the Jokaero dies, it is no longer the Jokaeros unit, therefore no rules apply - using your reading.

You cannot have both results, please pick just one.

This was your post. None of the results require the unit to be "the jokaeros unit", so him dieing won't have any effect, unless you interpret the results as solely altering the "Inconceivable Customization", in which case the remove of that special rule would also remove the results. There is no contradiction here.

jidmah wrote:You still didn't show how the actual result
"All shooting weapons in the unit are Rending."
or
"All Models in the unit have a 5+ invulnerable save."
differ from
Kor'sarro Khan's "Master of the Hunt", the Eldar's Guide, Doom, Conceal, Embolden, Enhance, Shimmershield or any Exarch Power for that matter, Mogul Kamir's "Khanasan's Finest", Lemartes' "Liturgies of Blood", Dok tools or a nartheticum, or any of the dozens of similar rules.

1) You roll for the jokaero's effect at deployment.
2) The jokaroo's unit gains the effect for the remainder of the game
3a) If any model leaves the unit, it's no longer the jokaero's unit or the inquisitorial warband. Thus it does not gain any benefit, just like a farseer fortuning a unit and then leaving.
3b) If any model joins the unit, it is now the jokaero's unit and thus benefits from what ever results Inconceivable Customisation held. Just like a farseer fortuning a unit and then joining.

There really is absolutely no rules base for any ICs taking the special rule of a unit they are leaving with them. All four results are worded as continuous effects. A fixed time frame also directly contradicts the rule's last sentence.

Just because I used "the jokaero's unit" for clarification, it has no bearing on the actual rule, which doesn't use that term at all, but "the unit" referring to the inquisitorial warband and nothing else. As long as the unit is an inquisitorial warband(as opposed to a chaos spawn or a squig), it is under the effect of the results.

There is no contradiction.
