Yeah, so far setting up the why hasn't been so hard, just setting up how it fits in with the fluff. There's the minor lord route, but I'm still open to different concepts.

Don't make him overtly friendly. he won't be giving generous tax refunds or have extremely lenient sentencing.

Lol, yes, that's what I'll do. My lord hates being a lord. Frequently sneaks out of the castle to bump fists at the local mead hall before taking a group of friends to the brothel.
