Oh, that's totally fair then. Most of the stoners I remember from high school and college days are dangerously unreliable and not capable of holding down a job third shift at Jack in the Box for more than 3 months. I've also met some rare people who I've known to be absolutely brilliant, and every last drug they've used has only improved upon that. By and far, the minority, but they do exist.

Pretty much this. Now, I don't know anyone who has ruined their life from weed, but I do know a few losers who do happen to smoke a lot, but don't do much besides that. I also know two different people that smoke everyday and also make more than $100k a year.

I'd love to, but the MAN here is way too harsh. You can drink yourself to death on a 3 litre bottle of whiskey available anywhere and smoke cheap radioactive tobacco, but if you have any kind of cannabis they throw your ass in jail for like 15+ years. Paul McCartney got lucky.

Well, I would but where I live most *If not all* of the growers are gang affiliated. And not only do I have to worry about the RCMP but the other rival gang breaking down the door. And looting the house.

I agree wholeheartedly. I've never used pot, and don't really plan on it, but I'm not against it. If a friend passes me a doobie, I'll smoke it. It's not like he's doing shots with me, which will really feth me up.

In the USA and Mexico we have plenty of people that can, will, and do kill people for less. While cannabis is less harmful of a drug than alcohol or tobacco it is in the same black market as cystal meth, heroin, and cocaine. Dealers of hard drugs, organized crime, and street gangs include cannabis growing, distribution, and dealing in their portfolio, and if you're part of a business that is competing against them you are their competition.

Well, you see, it depends on your location. I know that if I set up a cannabis shop, I wouldn't be killed and have my head thrown into a church. Pot isn't all gangbangers, you know. The average smoker is middle class and white. Not exactly who you picture as the drug-user that the Anti-Drug people would like you to think they are.

No, but my best friend has recently been diagnosed with MS, and we are seriously looking into the practicality of ignoring the law jmust a little to home grow weed.

Cannabis as MS relief is much better in tablet form. So if we do eventually go along this route we would not only have to 'farm' but also open up a drugs 'factory'.

Its a fething big dilemma, we intend to remain within the spirit of the law, would be harming noone and not proliferating drugs; yet what we are looking into is nevertheless thoroughly illegal. I wont touch drugs, neither will my mate (for recreational purposes) but he is in a lot of pain.

Frankly we dont know what to do.

Dealing and using are night and day. Users tend to come from all walks of life. Dealers are another story. Low end dealers who make 50k a year tend to be normal. Mid end dealers who make 50k a month are almost certain to be in organized crime. Go 1 more step up the food chain to the guy who makes 50k a week off weed and the weed is a side project, but anybody that high up the food chain will kill people as soon as look at them.

It is best to be completely removed from the industry. The only people that are safe are the users.
