My personal favourites are:

All pretty damn fine books. Clive Barker is an excellent writer and Good Omens is comic genius....

Have you read her book Men of the otherworld.

My favorite is
The Summoner, book 1 in the chronicles of the necromancer, by Gail Z Martin
In second, third, fourth and fifth place are:
2nd, The blood king
3rd, The dark lady's chosen
4th, Dark Haven
all from the same series,
5, The Sworn, also by Gail Z Martin, but in her new series.

I agree
Wholteheartedly
With the use
of Dr Seuss
But his rhymes
Can at times
Be a bore
And nothing more.

It's just what I think
He drives me to the brink
Of my sanity
It's an oddity
But to me it just means
What I read only seems
To constantly nauseate
Until it is far too late.

Mandorallen turned back toward the insolently sneering baron. 'My Lord,' The great knight said distantly, 'I find thy face apelike and thy form misshapen. Thy beard, moreover, is an offence against decency, resembling more closely the scabrous fur which doth decorate the hinder portion of a mongrel dog than a proper adornment for a human face. Is it possibly that thy mother, seized by some wild lechery, did dally at some time past with a randy goat?' - Mimbrate Knight Protector Mandorallen.

Excerpt from "Seeress of Kell", Book Five of The Malloreon series by David Eddings.

I am also a Dino nut and would like to have a discussion about them with you. Also yes the story is brilliant, the only problem I find with it is the movies (even though they are my favourite trilogy) is that they over size and give the dinosaurs wrong names. All in all totally brilliant book

I've read almost every book in the series, and the Darkest Powers spin offs. The only one's I've skipped over are the ones that feature Hope Adams and Jamie Vegas as narrators as neither character really interests me. I find Elena and Paige more interesting, and Savannah's two books are a interesting change of pace from Kelly's usual crisis of the week style.

Hah!!! You got to love how they try to explain these things. Now if they could explain the remains of other dinos found inside T-Rex skeletons, the T-Rex bite marks on other dino skeletons and the 65-67 million year age of the skeletons...

But thats for another thread

You know, I've tried reading the LOTR series, but couldn't get into it. I read about half of The Fellowship, and stopped....it was just so boring. I'm assuming they get better after the first book? Should I try to re-read them?

Sorry, it just seems that every other person lists the LOTR as one of their favorites.
