Agreed, the only time you'll get a chance to use It's a Grot's Life is in Apoc if the enemy takes minefields.

Going onwards to other crappy aspects of this army list, does anyone have success with the tyrannofex? Or using the (god awful) pyrovore?

i've seen rippers used to great effect..... not sure where all this hate is coming from.....

not many things are str6 in combat now (though i now have force weapons ) so they can certainly hold their own in combat..... best thing i've seen for running a dark eldar archon down with this annoying 2++ save before something big wades in

I hear that Tyrannofexes are actually very good, but cost so many points compared to Zoanthropes and don't have a model yet, so they're prohibitive. As for Pyrovores, the only way they can be run is with a Spore Pod, right into the enemy's lines and then commit suicide with them. However, this is still a rather "meh" use, and still wastes a Hive Guard slot...

T-fexes are a right laugh. Plod towards the enemy, put the willies up AV14, and then obliterate bubblewrap units to clear a path for chargers.

Pyrovores, as above; might be handy for fort clearance in Planetstrike, that's about it.
