As someone else with first-hand experience (and I'm starting this up again myself, see the sig) let me give a little advice: please respect everyone else. People will criticize you, both justifiably and without reason. You will have to learn how to filter one out from the other but graciously accept both. People will not be willing to help if you become hostile to feedback of any sort, even if it is clearly dumb.

Learn well how to simply say "I thank you for your feedback, and I will add it to my notes for future consideration" while simultaneously clicking the mental "delete" button.
