Halo clone? How halo is a doom clone? At least you could move in it unlike halo where it feels like you're treading water all the time.I think the captured the setting nicely. It's not exceptional but it was a decent game.

Grenades handled pretty much the same way, health handled the same way, 2-weapon system just like Halo. It was before most of those things became FPS standards. Your movement is very fast but very floaty, like most of the controls. It did capture the setting fairly well though; as I said it had some good set pieces.

It's hard to talk about the novel in this thread since more people probably played the game. That said, I heard rumor that in the novel it hinted that Kais was

actually secretly fueled by Khorne the whole time.
Any confirm/deny on this?

I know what you mean about the "possessed by Khorne" thing. I think they were trying to include the "Tau violence of the past" thing; the "dark times" or something.
You know, before the Ethereals or whatever .

As far as another book... It could be done. It'd have the same kind of standing as Cain novels if anything.
Kias was a little too OP though. He easily took out everything he came across. Usually in a comical way.
Maybe they author took the games "other point of view" a little too far and made the book more of a satire.
Don't get me wrong, I liked the book. It made me laugh and it was a quick read but, after reading it I had to call
my best warhammer bro and totally rip it apart.

Off topic: Did anyone read the Soul Drinker omnibus? I counted around 20 typos in the first 150 pages. Terrible stuff.
