Tbh after looking at the pics of his models i'd say offering advice such as highlighting etc is counter productive atm.
I'd say if your going for the blue scheme you should definitely give them a quick wash, just a quick asurmen blue or badab blck wash should do the trick, just remember to water your wash down slightly and make sure the wash doesn't "pool" on the model ^^
Sorry if my first bit of tet is offensive to anyone...just trying to help is all.

i understand the reference perfectly, you are calling me a hypocrite. what i am unsure of is what exactly that has to do with the thread. maybe a few of the paintjobs in my gallery aren't great, does this mean i am a bad painter? no. does it also mean that i don't know what i'm doing and can't offer advice to other painters so they may improve their painting skills? no. and even if my painting was terrible, does this mean knowing what to do and being able to do it are the same thing? no again.
get off your high horse and contribute to the thread in a constructive manner, not with 70 year old phrases from propaganda posters
It's an idiom, considerably older than 70 years and given the short distance between our countries I don't believe we share propaganda posters.
If you understood the idiom you should have caught the implicit warning to be more polite. When someone gives me advise I immediately check their gallery or painting thread, this person may not, but I know you from another thread. Leading with sloppy (crooked stencil) and lacking depth (hive gangers) is treading a thin line betwixt insult and constructive criticism.
Given the improvement between the black and stealth suit, I'm willing to be offended for the OP and call shenanigans. I have provided a positive contribution to this thread without the borderline insult you delivered to him. Were he to post another picture I'd comment in that one, and not the one above it in a continuing critical and encouraging format.
take a deep breath, and try to lead in with something polite the next time someone asks for advise.

IMO, I do not believe that he is even close to insulting the OP. He simply stated where his painting could be improved.
And for the Stealth Suit, he said what a lot of people say. Wash it.
IDK why you think he is insulting the OP...

It was a warning. When I learned English I learned to replace Du sollst zurst vor der eignen tur kehren
With the pot/kettle. Someone better at translating may be able to explain it better.

Trust me, when you go to games days and the like, people will point it out and say "oh, dat's so unrealistic." or whatever. It's really annoying, but I want to spare you the criticism. Go for codex grey instead.

As a Relativly new painter myself. Well ive been here and tried painting off and on for the last two years that is.
I have to say your first attempts are quite well executed. With a bit of practice youll soon start churning out exquisite models that will make people stop mid way towards the other side of a store just to see your army.
I have a few photos up in my gallery and I like to believe I have a small improvement over time. Trust me you may hit a point when you get burned out and think your not going anywhere but just keep going.
