BRILLIANT!

Freehand, gems, dynamic poses, OSL and the group shot is just pure gravy.

They are just amazing, and your subtle OSL is just sublime.

Very nice work

"Suffering is Faith, Faith is Strength.

Generations have suffered with the same devotion that we can offer but once. Still, our Faith leads us through these dark times like a beacon. It will guide us to triumph over these abominations. Either by breaking them upon us like waves against a limitless, golden peak or by thrusting through them like the spear of the Immortal Emperor Himself." - Cannoness Aoife, Order of the desert rose #Yesallwomen

Work on the 15 Assault Marines (3 squads of 5 lunatics each). I've got a nice technique for primarily airbrushed red now. The middle marine (one with the detail shots) was the test model. A few extra stages in there that I don't think are needed.
Main lesson learned: Vallejo German Red-Brown primer rocks. Hard.

First squad of three done. Damn decals took FOREVER to set properly. I still see the odd crinkle. By comparison I freehanded the skulls on the kneepads in about 25 minutes.

Some peoples work just depresses me with how good it is and makes me wonder why I bother. Your work does this.

Really nice looking Squad.

VMC Panzer Aces New Wood base. Perhaps a touch of devlan mud in recesses to shade.
VMC Panzer Aces Light Mud highlight. Blend it in a bit.
VMC Ivory extreme highlights.

Text in some mix of black, red and/or brown. Thin paint, fine point. Do 'double strokes' by painting a thick stroke then going back with the PA Light Mud to put the 'gap' in.

Those are some damn good looking Blood Angels. Having everyone in the group set up in dynamic posing makes the lot of them look stunning. It's a very aggressive look, I can't wait to see more.

"-and all that time in Paris, when you were wallowing in debauchery with your doxies, tarts and pirates... you were trying to convince me you were a disgusting, swinish, lecherous, drunken sot... Well I want you to know it worked.

Well done."

Next up will be another 5 Assault Marines, but in a much more static set of poses. More 'Come and get some' as opposed to 'Rrrrrraaaaargghh!'.
Then probably a metal venerable dread. It's awful. I hate it. If it were still in production I'd return it as a (really) bad cast. Don't get me wrong, I *could* have fixed it, but it would have cost a stupid amount of money for the client, compared to a nice Contemptor or Mk IV.

I disapprove! That one marine is going crush a lovely looking flower!

Other than that looks top notch!

Another 5 man squad done. Sorry about the crappy purple/pink background on the group shot, I need to make up a new backsheet, but my printer's out of ink. Some misbehaviour from the chapter symbol decals, which will need a glaze of the base colour and revarnish here and there. Anyway, pics:

Mephiston is the opposite of modelling for advantage! Especially on a model who can't join units and needs to hide behind terrain!
