Tarpit to an extent.
Everyone should have devourer armed gaunts blastn away.
Honestly people these dev gaunts are key to the new nids, ive won 5 games on the spin since i built them.
My personal favourite is gargoyles and/or hormagaunts with toxin sacs and adrenal glands to back them up. charging these can do a fair deal of hurt, hit them with this combined and your going to hurt them real bad.
Any gaunt type should be at leats 15 models strong, it means almost all units work out at 150 points each with guns/upgrades.
Personaly i would lose the mawlocs and tyrannofexes, trygon/prime all the way, if youve got 3 make 1 a prime.
If youre big bugs aint trygons there dead, simple as that.
I will say i`ve never even thought about having a tervigon let alone used one so i`ll leave that to others, but i dont think you really need them as much as everyone says you do.
Give youre stealers a lord, 10 + lord=200 pts, spot on. Or make them Ymgarl, best unit in codex.
Hiveguard? Always, the new go to unit in the nids.
The doom of malanti in a pod is a one trick suicide pony, however if youve got 100 odd points left, why not.

Just so you know, statistically, it would take about 1500 points worth of termagants firing devourers to inflict just 9 unsaved wounds on a unit of paladins with FNP. Warriors with lash whips and boneswords, throw in a prime and you're a power weapon causing ID. Doom in range could do a lot of damage as well.

yea doom is nice when he works, buts then usually gets id by an auto cannon right after, and the warriors have potential but shadows is no guarantee that you wont get force weaponed, and with no invul its risky stuff

No.

Wrong. You may take invulnerable saves as normal, and even cover saves as per the FaQ.
Yes, getting mind sucked will be blocked by force fields, dodging out of the way, having a storm shield and shrubs.

yup, only invul and for some strange reason cover... hes great when he works, cuz when he works, he seriously WORKS, but when he doesnt...he's just kinda a free kill point to any str 8 weapon that happens to look his way.

should be irrelevent, you want to tarpit the paladins first and then just have the doom sit outside combat eating brains.

On the other hand, Doom of Malan'tai with some Genestealers Devil Gaunts dominates in Kill team. just make a kill box.
At the start of your opponent's Shooting, any within spirit leech take a Ld on 3D6 using their own Ld, because each model is serperste. Then any who are left can either blow up a Gaunt or try and wound the Doom.
Then you pick the guys who are most threatening and open fire on them with Devil Gaunts, and Doom if you must.

A Termagant with a Devourer. Automatically Appended Next Post: It's called a Devil Gaunt because it puts out a Hellish amount of shots per model, and even a minimum sized squad, 10, can lay down 30 Str 4 shots.

Just played against a block of 10 wound allocating paladins with both Draigo and a librarian and I can honestly say in an objective game it is not so bad.
First, of all it you run gant walls at them not only do you prevent their movement, but because they will win combat, you guarantee they can always be shot at. Second, if you have to, let they have a objective and ignore them. With the abilities of force weapons and many ways they raise their strength it is too risky to use monstrous creatures. Last I would say Zoanthropes. Their lance rocks paladins.
All in all an easy threat to take care of because usually you don't need to kill everything.
