Hey, however your run rules in your house is fine.

Personally, I wouldn't go for it, but that's just me.

Mixing SM and SW dexes in a tourney wouldn't fly for 1 second, but house rules > everything.

While somewhat accurate, this is backwards.

It should be: While dark eldar are as much eldar as Grey Knights are Chaos Space Marines.

Dark Eldar are the true eldar as they evolved, Craftworld Eldar are eldar who took a specific divergent Path.

At any Rate Craftworld and dark are both very much Eldar, Just as Chaos and Grey knights are both very much "space marines"(Physiologically at least)

This is my Rulebook. There are many Like it, but this one is mine. Without me, my rulebook is useless. Without my rulebook, I am useless.

2v2 games aren't covered by the rules at all, so your group will have to house rule it one way or another.

Our group simply ruled that each army is considered separate, and the rules for one do not affect the other. Thus, one player's Vulkan does not affect the other player's Space Wolves, or Chaos Daemons can't use a Chaos Marine's icon to enter the battlefield.

Fluff wise, yes Space Wolves are Space Marines. What we are doing is talking Rules wise. Different codex. SW and SM sharing the same codex, might as well have Orks share with Tyranids. Or maybe have BA share with Necrons then. They are 2 differnet books.

Remember Fluff does not Equal Rules There is a reason why SM have different codicies. They are not suppose to be the same army but different. While fluff wise, they are Brothers, but rules wise they are different. Other wise as someone said, GK equals Chaos Space Marines then.

If a SM is a SM, then it can be said an Xeno is an Xeno since that is how most of the Imperium sees them. Doesn't matter they are different races, they are both hated as much, despised as much, and need to be eliminated .(unless you are BA and Necrons it seems but that is another story )

Agies Grimm:The "Learn to play, bro" mentality is mostly just a way for someone to try to shame you by implying that their metaphorical nerd-wiener is bigger than yours. Which, ironically, I think nerds do even more vehemently than jocks.

Everything is made up and the points don't matter. 40K or Who's Line is it Anyway?

Actually no, a Xeno is not a Xeno.

The OP had stated they had already agreed to share "friendly" rules in a 2vs2. Take a look at ATSKNF, yes they are diferent Codices however they are both Space marines C:SM&C:SW

if it is a friendly game and both sidesd get a similar buff then i dont see why not, as long as everyone in the game agrees to it.

Fluff-wise i suppose if an Ultramarine force and a SW force joined up to fight a common enemy i would think the Wolves would defer to Sicarius as the overall leader (assuming a higher ranking Wolf wasn't there as well).

As I said earlier: Fluff now does equal rules

I quote:
GK FAQ wrote: Q: What counts as a plasma weapon for the Ulumeathi
Plasma Syphon? (p62)
A: All Plasma weapons, as well as Eldar missile
launchers firing plasma missiles, burst cannons,
starcannons, all Tau pulse weapons and any weapon
described as using ‘plasma’ as its effect or in its special
rules.

"any weapon described as using ‘plasma’ as its effect" would be "any weapon described as using ‘plasma’ in it's Fluff"
