If I didn't know it was a Skyrim trailer I would had expected to see Geraldt of Rivia at the end.

Saw the trailer last night as a commercial .. guess it was during walking dead or something.

So is this gonna be the kind of game where you really need the hint book? I usually don't like to get the book and prefer to discover stuff, but if it's gonna be anywhere as vast as I remember Morrowind was then I think I may wanna splurge and get the book. I don't wanna get stuck wandering around aimlessly.

I never get the books anyways. I usually tend to just wander and stumble across quests and interesting things here and there. It takes me awhile to even get around to the main story when I play Elderscroll games

Me too but the collectors edition comes with 2 great Narrative books. I love to read.

Trailers like these serve to bring more attention to a game's primary design concept, and are effective for that fact because they're more eye-catching and immediately satisfying than pure gameplay footage. BethSoft already released an effective gameplay trailer to snag their core audience, now they're grabbing casuals and those that don't follow gaming media. It's a pretty smart marketing move, honestly. The fact that the trailer itself is so well done doesn't hurt either.

That's everyone, ever, dead then.

There is no hope.

Eh, dragons would be fethed if they came near an airport nowadays. Disgruntled homeowners, enraged by years of late night flyovers, shining high powered lasers into the dragons eyes., the Draconic cries of Nomag kear, Nomag kear!* would fill the skies.

*May-day May-day!

Yeah I thought so too. I fully support this apprach to game commercials, even though I'm past the stage of "casual" gamer
