I will admit that there is a huge down fall to IG. Its not that they aren’t competitive, there just very expensive. Out of my collection they are by far the most costly. As advise to any one picking up guard, be prepared to drop some cash. On a good note, if you do you will crush 90% of your games without thinking about it.

In a very recent vid, Matt said quite the opposite. He did say that if your prime interest was winning then probably don't go Guard, but also explained that Guard can work effectively and referred the guy who asked the question to look up tactics and battle reports if he wanted to go IG to get a good idea of how to use them effectively.

I will have to go back to the vid and see exactly what matt said. But yes I do realize its all personal opinion. But I figured they have a website, own a store and gaming place, sell minis, they should have a fairly good understanding of what they are talking about right? But I will find out exactly what he said.

As far as I know IG is one of the top armies on the competative list. Atleast thats what I hear.
