I agree but it will probably be collect this, kill X number of Y and stuff like that.
That would be the easy way out, I agree.
But I'd hope more for a politics-based MMO, with princes as GM-run pcs, and primogen being player-run, and harsh infighting on who gets to be primogen.
That would be an intersting idea. Maybe have it that all the clans are at war at some point.
Or at least individual cities being run like city-states, similar to some of the gehenna scenarios.

I think this is likely in some way or another, CCP made Eve, and made a game with a viable mechanic that most other MMO devolpers wouldn't touch with a ten foot bargepole work.
Which is allow the players to dominate the story by their own actions.
If done correctly, this Vampire game may herald back to what I was hoping for when the 'original' Warhammer MMO was raised, where players could takeover all the starting npc slots in the game over time, and then need to defend them.
Could be amazing.

Tzimisce antitribu if I'm allowed to, otherwise a malkavian...

Damn. I hope they add antitribu eventually, including sabbat. Sabbat would make for an interesting policial screw-up scenario when it gets released due to its diferent organizational structure.

Hmm ... I would like True Brujah or possibly a non-anal Tremere. Lasombra also appeal. But in probablility Malkavian - as I once said to a lady who said:
J: 'but tremere are more powerful they can potentially fly and shoot fire'
Me: 'but the malkavian can make you insane'
J: 'then you'd have an insane flying wizard vampire shooting fire which...'
Me: 'who cares? as a malkavian I'm mad.. also I'm not breaching the masquerade!''
My Tremere love comes from the hidden cabal aspect more than the shooting fire side of things. I love the enclosed mentality of the Clan, and the pyramidal hierarchy that dominates it.
Second fave Camarilla Clan is Brujah, which I am bound to play at some point as well.
I'm just hoping more is added at some point, Followers of Set would be quite fun eventually.

If not malkavians, then Ventrue. Somehow they're the least loved clan it seems, amongst players.

Hm. Anyone feel like having a pnp vampire game over chat?
It's been far too long for me...

Could be a laugh actually. Dibs on insane flying 6th gen tremere with fireballs =p
The venture seem under-liked - probably because they are the 'organisers'. Their weakness also leads you to being more vulnerable to an evil ST. (though to be fair unless they've said 'ancient greeks' as their foodsource they should be ok!)
Also their disciplines are nothing too fancy.
Is play by post on a dedicated thread possible on dakka?

I would actually prefer a chat room, such as on AIM or Steam, for roleplaying over a play by post.
It mimics sessions as if meeting IRL better.
And I was more thinking 13th-15th generation (along with possibly dhampir) as opposed to 6th
