I love playing Vampires the Masquerades. It is a damn awesome rpg filled with hot scenes, drinking blood and other sensual things which is damn fething awesome. It is possibly the best rpg of all time. Yes, it was not too popular and I do wish it could spawn a sequel but it won't happen ...

Also a... *shudder* TV show.

Redemption's Multiplayer was awesome if you had the right Storyteller to run it.

Once fans patched them, and made them more stable, really fun, I'll admit I'm a huge WoD fan, especially VtM and WtA, and I haven't played too far, however you had access to most Clans, the blood drinking, Stealth and combat mechanics where really well done.
From what I understand reading about the game on various sites, its got a very cool npc interaction throughout it. I've seen some put in on par with Planescape Torment. I agree not as amazing as the tabletop, but a damn fine attempt, and probably the main reason the MMO was picked to be set in VtM, not VtR.
@Theblitzkrieg, talking about the MMO, I assume you have seen the info about the WoD, which is basically VtM at launch with all seven Camarilla clans. However in case you haven't.

I can't imagine the video games would be as good as the normal RPG to be honest, much like a DnD video game is always inferior to the actual game.
V:TM Bloodlines was the best FPS-RPG ever made bar none.
A pity the MMO won't let you play a dhampir...

Bloodlines, when properly patched/modded is a flipping awesome game. I loved getting celerity all the way up and dodging through streams of automatic gunfire. Plus the whole only getting xp for completing goals thing is my favorite way of setting up games, as it makes stealthy and charismatic characters as viable as combat. And, lets face it, the playthroughs as a Malk and a Nosferatu were awesome.

The game seemed practically MADE for you to play as a Malkavian...

I finished another playthrough not too long ago so I resisted the urge :p
Fantastic game that one, although Redemption was good as well. The Malkavian character dialogue was so awesomely written I think nothing can come close to it. And there's still so many ways to replay the game even after so many playthroughs..
Things aren't looking too good for the World of Darkness mmo though, the recent layoffs at CCP and redirection on EvE development means the game is on the backburner...which is a shame. I think if anyone could make a universe as big as WoD it's CCP..but I also think they've bitten more than they can chew.

Minnesota, land of 10,000 Lakes and 10,000,000,000 Mosquitos
I played through the majority of Bloodlines as one of the magic vampires (I forget what the clan name is, nobody I know actually plays V:tM and it's been a long while since I played Bloodlines). I remember it being so cheap just to stun enemies, then run up to them and feed on them to death. At later levels, I could basically run through an entire area without getting hurt.
I loved the OP-ness of them, but once I hit the monsters in the sewers (again, been a long while) the game's difficulty just ramped straight up. None of my powers were helpful anymore, and I hadn't bothered to actually invest in combat skills.
I think I might jump on the old bandwagon here and go play it again. Might give me something to do while I wait for Skyrim...

Tis awesome!
It captures the WoD nicely and the XP system is clever. There is also a sense of dark humour throughout the whole thing.
I'm actually in the middle of playing redemption at the minute which is interesting. Needed a bit of fiddling to make it work on Windows 7 but still good fun - just a bit dated.

I wouldn't mind an MMO as long as it's less combat oriented.
That's kinda hard to do in these days it seems though...

I agree but it will probably be collect this, kill X number of Y and stuff like that.
That would be the easy way out, I agree.
But I'd hope more for a politics-based MMO, with princes as GM-run pcs, and primogen being player-run, and harsh infighting on who gets to be primogen.
