They are still rolling in. I have been watching orders, fixing registration issues for people and updating Registered Teams lists all night. I don't expect the 40K Team Tournament to last through tomorrow at this rate.

Took last year off, but back on DD2 with Lorek, Whitedragon, & Platuan4th. Here's my schedule:

Sun: Nothing... Malifaux open gaming maybe?? Help out with something?? Then in the evening the poker tournament/board games once I lose at poker.

I remember a few years ago they had tickets on sale to the 40k Championships up to the day of the event. The locals would make up their mind at the last minute and just roll in and fill up some spots. Then when GW pulled out of the GT business the event exploded. 2 years ago they had room for 160 players and they sold out so fast that they had to mirror it and run 2 events simultaneously with 200+ players.

Then last year they expanded it to 256 players and it sold out around Dec-Jan?

I expected it to sell out fast this year. It use to be that the UK GT would sell out the same day that the tickets went on sale and Adepticon is getting to the same place.

Thursday - meet and greet, and recovering from 20+ hour flight.

Not so sure about the swiftness of the staff. I tried to call in to alter my reservation to add a room for thursday. They are putting me in a king bed. Which is cool but I'm in two queens on Fri-Sat so I asked if they could just change the whole reservation to the same room and they said no but they would try to keep me in the same room. And now I go online just to double check and I can reserve a single King room for the weekend....

I just booked the single room for the weekend. I'll call back and cancel the other two confirmations....

I'm still working with the hotel and getting confirmation from our event manager.

My experience has been there is a disconnect between, the online system, the local hotel reservation staff, and the national hotel reservation system. It takes a bit of time for those things to sync up.

It appears they have made some adjustments but waiting till I have the details.

Thursday: Whoremachine kick-off
Friday: Nothing (will probably hit up the Iron Arena for a bit)
Saturday: Epic 40k (aka the reason I go to Adepticon)
Sunday: Infinity

Wow! Team tournament sold out in less than 18 hours....

We ended up grabbing a room up the street at the extended stay. 3 beds in the room for 100ish a night, and easily within driving distance.

Glad I got my team in for the TT then

Yup, and about 65 left for the 40k championships. I would expect that it will sell out by tomorrow.

That's crazy. 440 gamers (and $13,200 in fees just for the event, never mind the necessary badge), in under 18 hours. I remember year 1, where the Team Tournament was just about adding your individual scores to your partner's.

I guess I'm old now.

Confirmed with the hotel that a limited number of rooms have been added to shoulder nights of the event block. I am not sure how long they will last. So I would not wait long.

Since it was asked of me in a PM, here is where we are staying Extended Stay Deluxe. It ended up being 104 a night and they had some great room options. They are just down the street from the main hotel. They had other rooms as well for about 80ish going up, and some that allowed smoking and such as well but you get a suit, in our case one with 2 beds and an expandable couch and a kitchenette.

This is where we are staying as well.. but for only $185 for the weekend. It was fantastic last year, nice big room.

We are there from Thursday to Monday so it was a bit more, still a good deal, although Matthias mentioned on my blog a bit ago that they opened up more rooms at the main venue for those still looking.

thinking about the WFB team tourney Sunday, or hangover cures. , wait, what's this? A 40k narrative campaign with orks vs. humies??! Screw a hangover, I'll drink I'll night, avoid the hangover and sleep on the drive home!

I was signed up within the first 3 minutes. I keeped hitting refresh until it opened.

Thursday: Arrive in from Boston and go Whirly balling....Taylor I want a rematch from last year!
Friday: 40k singles: not sure why I signed up just did it thinking it would be fun. Normally I just relax on thursday and friday with friends.
Saturday:WAB Singles and drinking with friends.
Sunday: WAB Doubles, I have a title too defend with my partner from last year. It would be awsome too win overall two years in a row. Celebratory dinner with friends for the fun events over the weekend.

I know it's 6 months away but I hate this time every year. All I want too do is have it arrive, but when it does all I'm thinking is "holy cow I only have a few days too finish my models".

BTW for all of you out of towners you must have Giordonos while you are there. None of that Ginos east junk as Giordonos is the best Deep Dish in Chi-town. I grew up there so damn it I know!!!!

Edit: Heh, AoE, my question was how to add it to an existing registration, but I guess it's too late! I didn't get the VIG yesterday when I first registered, then couldn't figure out how to add it afterwards without paying for another weekend pass. If you guys do open up more slots, is there a way to add it to an existing registration? .

No problem otherwise, my only concern is that I registered for the warmarhodes kick-off tourney thursday night, scheduled to start at 6:00... with registration for adepticon opening at 5:00, that sounds like a tight squeeze! Is the line anything like trying to get into a GamesDay... or worse?

Holy %#$ - 120 teams registered (looks like Matthias opened up an extra 10 slots) making this year's team tourney the largest 40K tournament in the world, with 480 players registered.

And all within 24 hours...

wow, they even added 10 spots? This is gonna be epic!

And the 256-man championships only have 23 spots left!
