If I really wanted to nitpick, I could say that Erebus' armour is crimson, but the Word Bearers as a whole did not adopt the colours of the Gal Vorbak just before Isstvan, and the Sons of Horus didn't wear black until Abbadon took over, but I'm not going to because this is just a funny jab at 40k and it really shouldn't be taken so seriously as a Black Library novel!

This video is not for the entire 40k lore, just HH. But it presented it well for 1:30 of video.
