Saturday, November 26th:
-painted 12 Warriors, 4 Scarab bases, 5 Lychguard, 6 Destroyers, and 3 Lords

I also added a third line to my points tracker to specify which models are painted, and which are painted AND based. That way I can still show my progress even though I have to base a bunch of models (which doesn't take very long).

Interesting fact: 1 can of Army Painter Platemail lasted me EXACTLY as long as I needed it to for my 4000 point army.

Everything except the vehicles was based with that 1 can.

I LOVE that stuff!

I have four models left to paint, and a handful left to base, and then I'm done!

Been following you from Day 1, Matt. This is great, and I wish that I had the money (etc, etc) to follow in your footsteps.

I am TWO MODELS away from being done! I have Trazyn the Infinite as well as one more Overlord to paint. This should take 2 hours at most (probably less), and I will be 100% done my project (well, at least until I get more blue rods in to finish the Monolith).

Well, I'm going to try and fit in a 4000 point Chaos vs Necrons Apoc battle this month, so we'll see how that goes.

As for the idea for a drawing for the left-over bitz, that's a great idea! I'll have to throw it around and see if anybody else thinks that's a good idea.

Hey Matt, what do you plan on doing with the Deathmarks... I'm holding my final judgement on them until 6th edition releases... they just seem like such a liability with a 12" rapid fire range to be fully effective.

I like the blue on the Vehicles, it looks very very good.

Not a big fan of the Gold/blue on the Troops though, just not my personal tastes.

Overall, this is really an accomplishment worthy of recognition. You did an excellent job, in a very fast amount of time. Let me be the first to congratulate you on a job VERY well done!

It looks really impressive, 4 Ghost arks, a doomsday ark, 1 annihilation barge, a monolith, 4 boxes of warriors, 4 boxes of immortals, 2 boxes of deathmarks, a ctan, 6 destroyers. I can't quite tell if you kit bashed the front 2 ranks they kind of look like pratorians. I deffinitly see 4 lords and 2 crypteks though. Good work!

I actually really like the colour scheme. Maybe a slightly darker gold, but other than I love it. It looks brilliant on the vehicles! A job very, very well done.

Those are lychguard with warscythes at the front (not kit bashed).

It was a lot of fun, and will continue to be fun.

I already have the next 1500 points planned out, and should have it done in the next couple of weeks. And then there are the supposed second wave releases which I will have to grab a bunch of.

That's a very good and motivational video Matt. You are absolutely right, once you just accept your own painting talent as your own and stop trying to reach the pros and what people do for a living, its easy to hammer through the army. I'm bloody impressed you did a ghost ark in under an hour... doing the ribs alone (before gluing it) took me about a solid 2 hours... but that being said I use 4 different shades of green on it lol.

Cant wait to see the bat-reps with the new 'crons man!
