Two layers of plastic bent into the general shape seperatley then glued together and taped into the full curvature. Once the glue Cures the Cowling does not flatten out as it would if it were a single layer. I am going to be doing a tutorial on a reaver titan that will have all of that in it some time in the next two months.

Ah that makes sense, so basically you use the tension created by gluing the two pieces together to hold the shape, thats pretty damn brilliant! I assume that one of the pieces is smaller than the other to keep there from being an 'underlap' (I.e. the edges of the bottom sheet of plasticard poking out past the top piece)?

That's right, The cured glue acts like support bracing.I have used that technique on other models, too. Check out My reaver Titans.

@Zinge, There are several parts to this that could be used on other projects of mine. Many of which could be cast in resin. There are also, many things you produce that I would want some of and could use on these. How interested are you in making one?
