This one isn't a commision i've used it for a small miniwargaming competition. I am hoping to start with commision work soon though so thank you again for the advice.

I've only had 5 mins spare the past few days used it tidying up the free hand and marking out the next bit.

It looks far better now.

Well i think so anyway.

After seeing the pic the U still needs a tiny touch up.

Doesn't look too bad. You'll need to pin that back on. A 0.8mm bit and a paperclip for the main axle. Superglue it on, then use a little liquid GS to fill the crack in and repaint the join. No one (except all us lot) will ever know. I had something similar happen with the banner on Vorenus. That was a tricky bugger to pin.

Oh! that really sucks! It will be just fine if you take winterdyne's advice though.

Areldite to the rescue. Strongest stuff ever. I have a warhound held together with it and no pinning.

Cant imagine the banner being easy to pin at all must of been a nightmare to line up propperly.

Unexpected bit of time off. Think i used it well marked out more freehand.

Was going to freehand on some large text bottled it though will trace or stencil that bit on.

Coming on quite nicely. You might want to go back and glaze over some of the freehand lines; they're a little inconsistent in strength. Partly that's why I tend to mark stuff in greys / off whites, it's easier to get a consistent level with it.

Edit: When freehanding text into a fixed size panel, the best thing to do is draw it on paper with a pencil first - mark out the rough shape of the panel, then figure out how to evenly space the text in. Vorenus took about 4 tries to get it consistent. Then just neatly copy the design in paint. Stencilling almost always goes messy.

Yours did look a nightmare.

I've thought about trying in a sence tracing paper im not sure if the graphite will show through though.

Nah, it was quite easy. Honestly the actual painting of it isn't the hard part, it's knowing how big each letter should be. Once you've drawn it in pencil a couple of times it's easy to do it again in paint.

Cheers again winterdyne. Must be weird for you seeing this?

Banner is nearly done. Need to go over the U symbols again though.

Tbh just random cracks dark line with a ligher line under. Trick is to thin your paints and use some form of flow improver.

The white ones are just white lines with wet blending in the gaps.

I have really steady hands so personally didnt have to use any aids for straight lines didnt even need a guide line tbh.

And thanks for the comments guys.

If you need more info on the cracks just lemme know as im thinking of adding the ones from the legs on the toes.

It is a bit weird watching this. Kinda flattering though.

One thing I did find is that separating the U's from the pattern on the top and engine (just a darkline around the U) really made them pop and have a stronger shape to them.

I might go back to that technique when im a bit better it has potential looks a bit cartoony there though.

Looked fine to me, and would work well over the freehand; the trick to getting it looking nice is weathering that works to reinfoce the fact the freehand is 'painted on', not just dirtying it.

All done apart from the left shoulder and gluing to the base and adding snow.

Been busy tonight but tbh its only with little tweeks so doubt you'll see them.
