Except it's an expensive as hell upgrade on an already overpriced unit. They have some potential, but any heavy weapons that would be shot at Marines will still wound them on 2s, since they're usually strength 8 or higher.

And the bikers are toughness 4(6), so Str 8 weapons cause Instant Death ...

Well, they only have 1 wound anyway, so that doesn't really matter. If they had FnP it would negate that, but they don't so it's a non issue. They're pretty much immune to small arms fire though.

The core army is Alpha Legion with a few other units mixed in (being used by the Alphas) and the head schemer, a World Eater sorceror with Mark of Tzeentch

I'm Black Legion with most of my Champions being from different squads. My Termie champs are Flawless Host, The Cleaved, Night Lords, World Eaters and Iron Warriors. All the champs bear the colors fo their squad except for one shoulder pad which is black with the Eye of Horus

Death Guard, Pre-Heresy Emperor's Children, Thousand Sons, Word Bearers.

Used to play Death Guard in the prime of my 40k fun times.

Emperor's Children. But with a custom, pre-heresy-inspired paint scheme.

Not surprised to see Iron Warriors, World Eaters and Black Legion as top contenders. I am surprised at the strong showing from the Thousand Sons, however. I see far more Death Guard, personally.
