I was just wondering which of the original Traitor Legions people collect?

I collect Word Bearers, what about you?

Word Bearers, although the Black Legion, World Eaters and Night Lords all hold claim to at least a small part of my warband. However, it is the 17th Legion for me, the rest are weak minded fools who are blind to the true glory of the pantheon.

Emperors Children. But that was before I realised how I don't really like them...
Night Lords may replace them if I get an opportunity.

"As I recall, your face was tortured. Imagine that - the Master of the Wolves, his ferocity twisted into grief. And yet you still carried out your duty. You always did what was asked of you. So loyal. So tenacious. Truly you were the attack dog of the Emperor. You took no pleasure in what you did. I knew that then, and I know it now. But all things change, my brother. I'm not the same as I was, and you're... well, let us not mention where you are now."

Emperor's Children and Alpha Legion. I think I might prefer the Legion though...

Arguing with some people is like playing chess with a pigeon. You can play the best chess in the world, but at the end of the day the pigeon will still knock all the pieces off the board and then gak all over it.

Pre-heresy Night Lords, using Tyberos the Red Wake as my leader and the BA codex to represent the assault troops and, of course, the Stormraven! BTW, I don't collect BA cos they are a good army - I do it because of the fluff, as their assault troops really show the hit and run of the Night Lords. It works rather well!

Thousand Sons for sure...but only because I love the models.

Black Legion makes up the majority of my grand Chaos Horde (includes not only CSM but also large Daemon/Heretic armies) with The Flawless Host and The Purge making up supporting warbands of Noise/Plague Marines. My heart belongs to Word Bearers though and I want to incorporate them in later.

Surprised Iron Warriors is so popular, they always seem to make up the majority of CSM armies I see. Wonder why that is.

Also surprised to see Death Guard dead last. I've seen a lot of Nurgle armies too...

Emperor's Children. Who knew pink detail on black armor was this naughty-donkey. Add in magenta trimmed weapons with turquoise barrels and you have a color pallet to make Salvador Dali cringe. Gotta view my models with sunglasses on Also, couple units of Berzerkers and eventually I'll get Thousand Sons. Not really interested in Death Guard at all though. I'm considering painting my regular chaos marines in a scheme similar to alpha legion, but of my own design. We shall see...

Reality is a nice place to visit, but I'd hate to live there.

Iron Warriors myself. They are the Legion I started with back in '03 and one of my favorite armies in the game. So many reasons why I like them... colors, fluff, just their overall style. Hopefully the next Codex treats them(and every other Chaos Legion) well.

This.

I've played against Plague Marine several time, so I figured they would be more popular...I always though they were cool.

And I though Night Lords would be higher up too

Considering picking up some thousand sons. Rubric marines seem really cool (if not the strongest), and I have never really used a lot of pyskers (other than WH IQ Lord and Mephiston), so I would like to give it a try.

Rubric Marines are the weakest of all cult marines. Thousand Sons are very bad for their points.

Was supposed to be Death Guard, but since i've been using Abaddon and Zerkers as well, its not strictly Deathguard (especially since my tanks are converted and painted yet....)

Eh, Doesn't really bother me all that much. I've spent my gaming career playing bad armies well and good armies poorly. They have neat fluff, and have some mechanics I find interesting.

When i read the Ultramarines Omnibus and the series along the way, i learned about Honsou and his Iron Warriors. Those story's were candy for my eyes! Damn Iron Warriors kick twice as much ass then any Chaos Marine will in my opinion.

Word Bearers, although they are a splinter cult of Slaaneshi Word Bearers with recruited Noise Marines. I'll probably bring them back to undivided and offload the Noise Marines once a new codex drops.

My chaos army is by far my baby. I can field in excess of 20k in points. I can field any of the major marked legions if I was to choose to, but I have special emphasis on the following:
Iron Warriors....the paint job was cool, the fluff was awesome, 4 heavy support choices ruled and well lets be honest HONSOU is the F 'n MAN..
Death Guard....converting them is just plain fun, toughness 6 bikers are interesting, not to mention 30 plague marines in a plague tower is all kinds of fun in APOC
Khorne Berserkers.....again cause in APOC, 30 zerkers riding around on the backs of defilers is cool
Tzeentch...my WHFB side coming through to 40k....the magic users of 40k...what can I say

Let a billion souls burn in death than for one soul to bend knee to a false Emperor.....
